Monday, Sep 9, I ordered simple business cards. They said to expect a proof email in 4-5 days. 6 biz days later I went in to check. Then they sent a proof with 3 options, none of them what I asked for. I emailed designer ***** ******* my specifications again. 24 hours later, Sep 19 10:38AM, I called for an update. They lied about sending the 2nd proof that morning, but emailed immediately after the call. It only had 2 options, designs were sloppy. Wanting it quickly & avoiding the $25 up-charge for more proofs, I picked the best, sent a confirmation & then called again at 10:48AM to confirm & ask how long the printing process would take & if I could pick it up same day? An unnamed woman said it typically takes 24 hours from the confirmation to print. I confirmed they would call when it was ready. Friday Sep 20 10:06AM (lasted 4:08 min), I called to see when to pick it up. They weren't printed yet. I asked her to check when, but they were not in the queue for the day, nothing had been sent to the printer team yet. She said it might not be printed until sometime early next week. I said I would need to cancel my order if it was not done by noon, because I had obligations and wouldn't be able to pick it up any later. She hung up to check on rushing it. They called at 10:22AM, adding a rush fee she couldn't recall the amount of. Deliberate delays so they can up-charge. Still it wasn't done at 12:00PM, so I called to cancel. They called later to inform me it was ready like they didn't know I canceled. 12:36PM Owner *** **** left a scathing voicemail, bullying me and threatening to turn me into collections. They continued to send emails, first to my personal then my biz email, about my order or threatening me. Finally, Oct 18 I was sent an invoice dated Oct 18th, Total: $75.93, & a collections threat. The invoice didn't show a separate rush fee. This is the first time I knew the total cost. I made Google and FB reviews. They haven't contacted me thru those mediums.

    Hello,

Below are the two emails from the customer. It seems she was pleased with the design. When informed she needed the cards by Friday when rushed them through and there is not a fee on the invoice.

We called her before noon to tell her the cards were ready and she told us she had called earlier to cancel her order. We did everything we could to do what is right. We stand behind our customer service.

Please let us know if you need anything else from us.

    Thanks

    *** ****, Owner

I like the first one with the blue color. Thank you! Please print them!

Thank you for your hard work! These all look beautiful in their own ways.
         I like:
-the font at the top of the first one (harris bookkeeping)
-The oval around the face of the first one
-the glossy effect on the letters, bar and picture rim of the first one
-the colorful bubbles beside the contacts of the second one
-the white background of the third one
Thank you for keeping it simple like I had asked. The first one had a classy feel to it, which I liked. Maybe stay away from the pink colors. I'm a bookkeeper, not a beauty consultant LOL It did look cute though!
I look forward to seeing the next designs!

    Customer Answer

In my inbox there was a notice from google saying that Copycat replied to my google review, which I had posted Friday Sep 20th and then updated on Saturday Sep 21.  I saw it at the same time as when I saw the BBB email, otherwise I would have notified you sooner.  They posted the same message on my google review as what they sent to BBB.  I thought they wouldn't try to contact me anymore except through you.  I understand google reviews is a public platform, but it seemed inappropriate.  I am concerned they might contact me again or send the canceled order to collections after I accept their respond, after the BBB case is closed.  If they contact me or I get called by collections after accepting their response, can I revisit this case using this same case ID?  I will confirm that I did send those emails and that I remained optimistic in the emails.  I'm usually a very optimistic person in general and was trying to be nice to the designer.  I continued to stay positive and respectful in emails and calls, until Friday, Sep 20th.  I was respectful and assertive on that call, but not very positive.  After patiently waiting two weeks for the order and then being told it wouldn't be done, I made conditions for if they wanted my business.  The condition being that the order must be done by noon.  I said this to the first person I talked to. Did they not communicate that to the team? I called at exactly noon to cancel the order.  Yet they sent a voicemail and emails harassing me.  They could have replied to the google review two months ago.  If they replied now, after you told them I didn't want any contact with them, I'm concerned they will contact me again.

Hello, I did not try and contact her. I responded to her poor google review, which is my right. As a business owner we produce goods for customer prior to payment with good faith. We have a very good reputation here in ***** ******* I have written off the amount due and closed her account. As long as she does not post anything else in the future that is a negative review, I will drop the matter.
