    5/2/2025
On the date 5/2/2025 I received another bill from family practice in the amount of $492.89. This is one of 2. I received an additional one in March. Family practice has been refusing to turn claims into insurance. I have two insurances meaning they need to submit one to the primary insurance which is united healthcare and when that is processed the claim needs to be sent to secondary insurance which is Aetna Medicare. The reason I am filing this complaint is because I have not returned to family practice since finding out they were having troubles billing or since their provider *** ***** treated me inhumane during a visit. I had went in for throat swelling, rash in mouth other symptoms. I was told by *** ***** that I changed my soap and it was nothing. She was absolutely uncaring and unkind/in a rush because to her I was fine. I later had to go to the emergency room for an allergic reaction to tirzepatude compound which was provided by their provider **** *****. I have been forced to call insurance severe times because family practice won’t call to solve the billing issue. The bill I received in May is over $200 more than the bill in March. They are going back from a visit in July and trying to charge for that visit even though I should only owe $25. According to my records they only submitted the claim to primary insurance. They are not submitting to secondary. I am struggling with family practice to help solve this issue. I feel now as if family practice is harassing me and they won’t property turn the claims into insurance. And are trying to get paid for claims that were already paid for by insurance. They are very hard to work with and whenever I talk to someone they blame me.

All claims are billed to insurance, as what's provided to Family Practice of Grand Island. If a claim denies due to coordination of benefits, it is the patient's responsibility to correct. Once corrected, we are happy to rebill to the correct insurance, which we have done for this individual. Insurance payers may take 30-60 days to process a claim. In this particular case, the correct primary insurance denied the claim due to timely filing after we submitted, once coordination of benefits was corrected. However, we have submitted a reconsideration due to the circumstances, and are currently waiting for the claims to reprocess. We do apologize for the process taking longer than desired for either party, but please know that we have submitted all claims, and have followed appropriate  channels per what's allowed by insurance.
