    I was seen by ** *********** on 06/27/24 at the Fillmore County Hospital specialty clinic where we measured me for orthotic insoles and my formed me of a brace for my right ankle pain he was going to put me in. I gave him my *** card number to pay $250 for my orthotics that he charged and he told me to meet him in ***** ****** at his business on Saturday 06/29/24 to get my brace. He was very persistent that I get it that Saturday after I got the results ff work so I let him there and then he sent me a bill and it shows that he still charged my insurance for the orthotics after I had already paid him for them. I attempted to call his company to discuss this with me and I have not heard back from them. I called them on 08/19/24 and 09/10/24 and was informed that there billing department would be calling me back. It is now 10/04/24 and I still have not heard anything and so then I received another bill today that says if we do not pay by 10/23/24 then they are sending me to collections.

    In researching this complaint, we do not show any patient payment from her ***.  If she can show a receipt that we did take that amount we will be glad to apply the $250.00 to the balance due and refund her. Initially, I always tell all patients there is no guarantee orthotics will be covered but we always send it in to their insurance to make sure.
