September 9th 2024, We met with *** ***** about vision therapy for our daughter. We paid a little less than $6000 for a 36 session program with the vision therapist. We were also told we would get 4 check in appointments with the doctor in the span of this time to be updated on our daughter’s progress in the program.
While my daughter has been seen by the vision therapist consistently since we started and has made tremendous progress and will complete the program as it was intended, we have never had a meeting with the doctor as we should have.
For the last 4 sessions, we have been meeting at the city park to do her therapy because *** ***** abruptly closed the office with no notice to us, but more importantly no notice to the vision therapist. Luckily she is very creative and has limited tools at her home that she brings so that my daughter can complete her therapy.
Furthermore, I found out that the vision therapist only had my daughter as a client and has never been paid for any of the work she is doing. She is continuing to work with my daughter because she loves what she does.
The fact that my daughter is the only client leads me to believe *** ***** was planning to close the office before we even started the program and didn’t communicate that with the therapist.
The number has been disconnected so we are unable to get in touch the *** ***** to let her give us a solution.
While I’m very thankful to the therapist for continuing the program, I would like to *** ***** to make it right with her and give her the money that she is owed at the very least and also, give us our money back as we have never once had a follow up with her as the contract says.
I do find it quite fishy that she closed up her office but is now seeing patients at ******….Just be a good human and let us know what is going on.
