We paid for a service with MacPractice EHR system to transfer our files to the new company as their system has had chronic technological problems. Additionally they delayed the transfer and charged us an additional month for access to their system, their delay, holding our intellectual property hostage. They failed to complete the transfer, missing over 135 patients records and despite the fact I did not authorize the payment (and under no circumstances honored the contract for transfer) they charged the card on file as a completed process. the VP (******** *****) of the company has failed with all communication and neglected to even attempt to resolve this matter and instead charged the full amount.

Yes I paid $2500 for an export service for “our entire database including EHR” for which we were told we shouldn’t have to manually enter a thing” in writing.

the export process upon further review didn’t export those 137 files because those EHR new patient intake forms were augmented by the company so that they could be utilized within their patient portal (for which that is an annual fee of almost $4K for a portal that never functioned correctly, hence the basis for us leaving this EHR company.) this change in formatting removed them from the export list we paid for and thus the company closed the account, charging us not only for the full export fee of $2500, an additional $330 for access to their EHR system with THEIR delay and leaving us in a situation where with incomplete medical records for personal injury. Technically they should also owe us 6 months of monthly usage fees for a program that simply didn’t work.
