April 13th my family and I were in Manhattan for my oldest sons baseball tournament and before we headed back home (we’re from Topeka) we stopped at the U-Stop on ****** and my husband pumped $54.89 in gas while my oldest son and I went in and got 3 drinks $8.43. I swiped my card and headed for the door before I got out the cashier told me to come back bc my card “didn’t go through”. I went back and swiped my card a second time and went on my way. Once I was back in town I noticed there were three charges from Ustop which there should have only been two (one for the gas and one for the drinks). It turns out my card did go through and the cashier then rang up the customer behind me and I had also paid for their items plus mine. I called the store and was told they’d have the manager call me. They never did. I called back again and the manager said there was nothing they could do and gave me another number to call. I called it and spoke to a woman who said she’d pull up the transactions and the cameras to see what happened. She also did not call me back. I then got online and made a complaint and had a Jeff call me back. I’ve now talked to him three times and the money is not back in my account like he said it would be multiple times nor has he followed up with my like he said he would. It’s not a big amount at all but the fact nobody will take care of this makes me wonder if it’s being done to multiple people and it’s poor customer service. You can’t just take peoples money like that and not make it right. It should not be this difficult to put the money back in my account. I’d like my money back and I want BBB to know.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

However, I do think Whitehead oil should look further into how they’d reimburse customers in a more timely manner and communicate better. It should not take months and me reaching out to multiple people multiple times and then BBB to get reimbursed. That is unacceptable.

      Sincerely,

      ****** ******
