    I purchased a power lift chair on March 17, 2023. It started having issues with seat dropping on right side in two months. Finally after going through Golden Tech chair with ******* ****** and ***** from Energize instead of having me pay $1,000 in labor, they replaced the chair on February 7, 2025. Two weeks later ***** came out to check it for noise and bumpy ride and found nothing. Next day I found a broken bushing underneath the chair. I showed it to *** ********* and he laughed at me and said that is from your vacuum. I sent photo to ******* ***** and she said it was a bushing. I have contacted both Energize and Golden stating seat is dropping down once again and causing back, hip and buttock pain. I have had 3 epidurals for this issue. No one is answering me at all. I feel two chairs, two defective chairs, and never going to be right and causing me irreparable pain and suffering, I just want my money reimbursed and they can have the chair. Most of what I paid for this horrible excuse of medical equipment is on my Union Bank visa card drawing interest. I do not feel either company will make this right and repairs won't last if the chairs are defective. I just want something done, and would like my money back to tell you the truth. But no one will answer my pleas or even talk to me. I was told there is a full 3 year warranty on the chair, frame and lift mechanism and I am running on the original warranty from 2023.

    *** ********** Purchased chair 3/17/23. 

    Requested Service call 8/8/24-Customer stated the seat is caving in on one side-Inspected lift chair. Cushioning in back and seat have more wear on right side, Nothing bent or loose. Lubricated pivot points and adjusted right three levelers out to compensate for right lean -No Charge

    Requested Service Call 12/27/24-Customer contacted Golden, and they requested additional documentation to troubleshoot.  Manufacturer offered to warranty parts but not labor.  Would require rebuilding of chair, which wouldn't guarantee to fix the issue-No Charge-Customer declined repair

    After back and forth, ***** was able to get Golden to replace the chair 2/7/25-No Charge.  Did not renew the warranty on replacement chair-carry over from original on 3/17/23.  

    Requested Service Call 2/28/25-Customer stated Patriot Plumbing moved lift chair and customer is concerned they may have damaged it or the floor is not level where they placed it. Inspected chair and fully functional-$60 service call.

    Customer brought in unidentifiable plastic piece.  No disrespect to our customer, but we need to inspect the chair to be able to place any connection.  

    We have gone above and beyond.  No documentation that she wanted a refund. The replacement chair was offered as a 1-time exception.  There will be no other offers at this time. 

    We are locally owned and operated company with 4 employees just trying to do our best to run a business.  Personally hurt she would go to the BBB before calling us since we have been doing business together for years.

    Good morning. 

    The documentation shows the attention that was provided, and a free replacement chair was provided. We have empathy her situation.  Dealing with chronic pain is a serious matter, and we want nothing more than for her to comfortable when selecting a recliner.  That's why we go the extra mile to ensure our customers are satisfied before purchasing.  Being a Home Medical Company, we are held to a different standard than a typical retailer by our credentialing body.  Returns are regulated much higher, but we feel we make up for it with our need satisfaction approach and service after the sale.  If we conducted business in any other way, a small company like ours wouldn't still be open after 7+ years.  

    We acknowledge that the customer has rejected our response.  This is our position and stand firm.  Any further attention to this matter will be interpreted by Energize Home Medical as harassment, slander, and defamation of our company. 

    We appreciate everything the BBB does and am honored of our A+ rating.

    Considering I am destitute and defaulted on credit cards and car loan payment this month and facing heart surgery, there is no way I can pay for a service call and/or repair of this chair.  So that is that I guess.  Close the complaint as unsatisfied.  ******** **********
