    Had a very difficult time canceling the guy at the call center kept talking over me when I tried to cancel. The call went on for about 45 minutes and even then I wasn't really sure if he actually was going to cancel me compared to other reviewers it appears I got lucky. I TELL EVERYONE NOT SIGN UP FOR THE LINCOLN JOURNAL STAR BECAUSE OF THIS. If cancellation was easier I would easily have joined again.

    Was added a 5.00 per month charge to my account. I am a 7 day a week customer and don’t receive my paper every day there are many times it is 2 to 3 days late (example no Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday paper and on Thursday receive Monday Tuesday Wednesday paper but no Thursday paper , this is a weekly problem with several complaints with no resolve.

    I think Lincoln Journal Star has a big problem. I did a "one time" on line subscription in March of 2022. I have been trying to cancel this subscription ever since then. I called the customer service number and talked to someone in the Phillipines. I was told it was cancelled. My credit card was charged the next month. I called again and again and each time I was told the subscription was cancelled but every month my credit card was charged. Since it was a $1.00 charge I just kept trying to cancel subscription. In August of last year, I got upset and called the customer service number again. Again someone in the Phillipines answered. I yelled ( not something I do very often) and was told the subscription would be cancelled. I was not charged for September, October and November and I was thinking the subscription had been cancelled. But NO......in late December I was charged $2.99 four days in a row. Now i was really upset. i called the customer service number again. Again someone in the Phillipines was on the on call customer service represenitive. Again, I yelled. I was told the subscription was already cancelled. I asked why I was charged $2.99 four days in a row. She had no idea. I was put on hold and when she returned, she told me my subscription was not cancelled. She said she could not cancel the subscription. I asked to speak to her supervisor but told "no" she could not connect me to her supervisor.

    I called my bank and cancelled my credit card and opened a fraud investigation. . I thought yay I have cancelled the subscription and charge.

    Yesterday I get a letter from the Lincoln Journal Star asking for my credit card number so they can charge my for my on line subscripption. I have returned the letter with one of my own. I have in that letter informed them to cancel. If I hear from them again, I will retain a lawer to assist me in dealing with this fraud. *************************************************************
