Isaac with Artisan Carpentry was hired for a job to remodel our kitchen and woodwork throughout the main level, second level hall and second level bedrooms. Simply put, this project was way out of his league.**** ******** the greatest hitter ever failed 6 out of 10 times to hit .400. That success rate is about what Isaac hits at. DO NOT let him do any work on wood floors. We wanted our kitchen re-stained and wood floors added to 2 rooms. The stain was smeared and dripped all over and sealed. We called in a REAL floor guy and his first reaction to seeing the floors was "what did he do!!!? This cost us an additional $2700 to fix Isaac's shoddy work for which he graciously took $600-700 off of our bill. Cabinets and woodwork were painted and there are imperfections galore. Tile work and grouting is atrocious, and this is what he claims is his specialty. Hardware for blinds throughout the home was not put back up and I should be thankful for that. Reason being; the cabinet doors that he rehung were not adjusted properly. Doors close uneven or hinges tear into the wood. Complete disregard for detail. Any full sized doors that were removed and rehung were done so without properly seating the hinges. Thus, the doors rub the door framework and need to be hung again. Looks like I will take a day of vacation to do what the "UN-professional" should have done right in the first place. Plenty of touch up work was called out in a pick list weeks before Isaac was supposed to complete the work. It was never done. The wood floor trim work was supposed to be installed by Isaac once the wood floors were finished by the expert ( yeah once again as stated; this is not Isaac). You guessed it;.....not done. When asked when the work would be finished, he made up ******* about my Mother in law's dog biting him and said he wouldn't be back. I finally had enough ************* and settled for him sending me $600 to finish the work, so I wouldn't have to deal with his subpar work any longer.
