Last year my late father bought a refrigerator from them for his garage. He got the same deal as everyone else (30 days money back). He got it home and it did not even get cold after leaving it on overnight. My father hauled it back to get his money back but of course they did the "only store credit" song and dance. The old man (owner?) was super rude to my father but my father got him to agree to a 6 month allowance to use the credit.

Fast forward to this spring, my dad had passed and I had the honor of using the store credit. I ended up buying a dining room table and 2 bar chairs (the only chairs that they had a set of), Dining room table was brand new and still nice, but I didn't use the chairs for a month or so as I hadn't sat up at my counter. I finally happened to one night and as soon as I sat down and leaned back, the back cracked off of it. It had never even been used and the first time I used it, it broke. I haven't even sat in the other one for fear of ruining that one too but I guess I'll have to otherwise it's no use. I've contacted them twice via e-mail about options, but neither time have they responded. They run a really shade business, sell used pieces of **** for more than brand new items and then lie about giving you your money back, they eventually will give you store credit if you keep trying. The old man is crabby and a jerk, the worker who I bought the table and chairs from had to hide our transaction from the old man so he didn't know i was using my late father's store credit. What a poorly run place and I have no idea how it's still around besides ripping customers off.

Sorry for your inconvenience as my father has passed away also. If you hadn't been so rude about my father, I would of helped you out. Not knowing what the real situation is, I find it hard to comment. Sorry you had a unsatisfactory experience at our store, but we strive to provide customers with satisfaction. Thank you for your time

I purchased a washing machine on 6/16, was delivered on 6/18. Upon start, there was a grinding noise. Repairman came out to our house 6/19 and “fixed it”. Started load of laundry that night with the ‘Tap Cold’ water setting on. Clothes were HOT when putting them into dryer. Steam was rising out of lid during cycle. We called to return the machine, because we were told we could return within 10 days of purchase on 6/16 when buying. They fought us on returning - claimed they couldn’t refund our money but would give store credit to exchange for another machine. The store credit they gave us was $100 less than what we paid for the machine, and they wouldn’t give us a reason as to why we weren’t getting the full amount of money we paid. I told them I didn’t want to do any more business with them in the future so I demand a full refund to our card, I was told they don’t do that. I’ve read reviews online that the store claims they don’t give refunds, but they’ve given them before anyway. The manager, Jerry, was INCREDIBLY RUDE to me on the phone. Kept trying to tell me store credit was the best they could do for me. He repeatedly called me “hun” while speaking condescendingly towards me. I asked him not to call me “hun” as it was inappropriate, and he laughed at me on the phone and then said “Well I’ve done everything I can do for you … good luck.” And he hung up on me. We have not received a refund to our card from them. Only store credit that will expire after 60 days? They sold us a faulty machine, which warrants a refund, but tried to blame it on the pipes in our house. I've lived in this house for almost four years now and have never had an issue with the hot and cold water temperatures. This is a SHADY business, selling broken and over-priced items, then not refunding money when returned. They have the washing machine in their possession as of today. 6/21/24, and we do not have our money back. The city of Lincoln would be better off without this company existing.

On 4/25 I went to Salvage Warehouse (SW) with the intent to look at purchasing a washer/dryer. I was told all appliances are guaranteed for 30 days & could be returned within that timeframe. I did not purchase anything that day. I returned with a family member on 4/28 & was told the same information again about the appliance guarantee. Since I was purchasing a gas dryer, I was told they would not set up my dryer. As part of the purchase agreement, I was told they would unhook & remove my current gas dryer if I turned the gas off prior to delivery on 5/5/23. They wrote this agreement on my receipt: “Haul away if gas is shut off,” & at 5:19pm on 5/4/23 Jerry with SW left me a voicemail confirming I had shut the gas off. When they arrived on 5/5/23 they refused to unhook my dryer & called Jerry. I showed the delivery team the receipt & they gave me their cell phone to talk to Jerry. At that time, Jerry refused to have them unhook & remove my old dryer as agreed & when I tried to hold him accountable to the agreement I was told he would just take the items back & return my money. In hindsight I wish I had agreed. They left the dryer sitting in my basement & said they would return to remove the old dryer once I made other arrangements. After using the washer it became clear it was not washing clothes because they were still dirty after washing. Based on being lied to & the washer not working, on 5/20/23 my family member & I went to SW to return the washer/dryer. Jerry was there & refused citing they don’t do refunds & referenced the receipt. I explained 2 different sales people said they guaranteed their appliances & when I had spoken to him (Jerry) on the phone he offered to take them back. Jerry said he couldn’t do a refund but would exchange it for a washer that worked. I said I just wanted my money back & for them to come get the washer/dryer - it was clear to me they were *************. Another man sitting behind the counter was then extremely verbally rude to me.

When I spoke to Jerry, who said he was the manager, on Saturday, 5/20/23, he said he could not give me a refund. He took my receipt to make a copy and said that he would talk to his supervisor and call me on Tuesday, 5/23/23 with the decision about refunding me or exchanging the washer. When we asked if we could get his supervisor’s number to talk to him, Jerry refused, and said he had to talk to him. I did not receive a call back.

I have a picture of the receipt, the washer, as well as the dryer that they left sitting in my home, and the voicemail message, however, I am unable to upload them.

I would not have purchased the washer and dryer if I would have been unable to return (not exchange) them if they did not work properly. The receipt clearly states that they have a 30 day appliance guarantee, which to me means they will take back appliances within that time period if they are not satisfactory.

I am deeply concerned that they not only lied to me, but they keep changing their story to benefit them. Therefore, I do not want a replacement washer/dryer because I do not want to support a business which has shown itself to me to be unethical in their business practices.
