I called Auto Station because a co-worker highly recommended the business and stated that they had worked on vehicles for the their employer for years and they were very good at what they do and are honest. I was given a diagnosis of a rear main seal leak from Baxter Toyota. I wanted to get a second opinion as to if that was truly where the leak was and a quote to fix it. ****n told me that I could bring it in and they would put dye in the vehicle, which would allow them to be able to pinpoint where the leak was and give me specifics on whether it was a rear main seal leak or an oil pan leak. He told me that price was around $ 75.00. When I came in today, he put the vehicle up on a lift, looked and came back out to tell me that he was not sure where it was leaking, but I can bring it in another time for them to put the dye in it. I was under the impression that is what they were going to do today. I was then told I owed $77 dollars, and I could bring it in another time for the die to be done. I thought that is what he would be doing today and I had no problem paying for that. What I do have a problem with is charging me to put my vehicle on a lift, looking at it and telling me the exact same thing I told them . . . Which was, it has an oil leak somewhere. I would like to think I was not taken advantage of, but why would anyone pay for someone to tell them what they had just told the mechanic and not do any true diagnostics.

This customer came in to look at a oil leak. We do a complete inspection on every vehicle that comes in the shop. I think she misunderstood the fact that we charged her for a inspection of the vehicle. If we don't do any work when we do a inspection we charge for that. what she didn't understand is when we did a degrease and dye to the vehicle. At that time we would have credited the inspection charge back to whatever the charge for the degrease and dye would have been. She never even contacted us to give us any chance to explain this to her. Her first move was to call you and complain.

I contacted her as soon as I got the complaint from BBB. At that time I refunded her $77 charge in full.
