I have known Tim for several years. I will say it is extremely rare to find a repair shop owner as honest and ethical as I have found him to be. He has always explained in laymen's terms the pro and cons of not doing a recommended repair and gone the distance on my vehicles many times not charging me for the extra work required to make it right.

I gave the customer the choice to try and fix their engine, or replace the engine in April of 2022. The customer decided to try and fix the engine. While fixing the engine, I also found other internal damage to the engine, that the customer was informed of, but they still decided to proceed with the repair. The internal damage was noted on the final invoice, and the customer was informed that the issue may return, and that the only fix again was to replace the engine. The internal damage is what is causing the cam phasers not to function properly. I asked the customer to take her truck to an auto repair facility as the vendor I purchased the parts from was going to replace the cam phasers for her. She refused that repair. A warranty only covers the parts that are defective and the cost to replace the defective parts. No warranty covers parts that are not functioning due to other issues with the engine.
