    On June 21, 2024, I went to Koko’s Braiding Salon to get my hair done as a walk-in appointment. The stylist braided my hair extremely tightly, and I had to repeatedly ask her to redo the braids because they were too tight. The salon required full payment before the service was completed, leaving me with no option but to proceed. Afterward, my scalp blistered, and I developed a large bald spot due to the tension from the braids. On June 27, I contacted the salon owner, Koko, to express my concerns and sent photos of my scalp. Koko offered to "fix" the issue, but I refused as my scalp was too tender and a bald spot cannot be fixed by redoing the hairstyle. I requested a refund, but Koko only offered a discounted hairstyle, which I refused since I would not return. Additionally, I believe the braiders may not be licensed. This experience has not only caused physical pain but also significant emotional distress. I want to ensure that no one else goes through this and that the salon is held accountable for their unprofessional and potentially unlawful practices.

    We told her before braiding that the exact style could not be done on her because her edges were broken.  She waited two weeks before getting back in touch with me.  She also posted negative reviews on social media about the salon.  She took the braids out.  I will not be refunding her.

    Kokobraid sorry we are not able to return any money to ********* after two weeks keeping braid then all the insult and all the Google review and if the braid was tight you can complain in 24hrs not after  10 to 14days

    She continues to tell lies… Having soreness for 2-3 days is normal which is why I did not contact her I contacted her exactly a week later because it was getting worse.  I took out the braid that was hurting the most and noticed the huge bald spots. The shop is extremely unprofessional based on reviews and ******** I found after going to them I don’t see how they are still running and I will continue to speak about it.
