      ******* * ********** Daughter visited hospital emergency room in February 23,2024. During the stay, I submitted my insurance card that has coverage for her two times. Once in the ER, once when a representative visited the hospital room. Charges didn’t get submitted to insurance. I called CHI Billing dept FIVE times to get the name corrected and the bills submitted to insurance. Still, CHI submitted most bills but send one to collections. No attempt to remedy their mistake/inability to do what they were told to do FIVE times. I have called billing again and they can’t find the bill. I have disputed the bill with the collections in order to get a statement of charges. I called billing again with the account number. They still can’t find it yet they turned it over to collections. I called and emailed the Midwest Emergency in OFallon IL, no response! This was never submitted to insurance as the name is still spelled wrong. This is no way to do business. You are taking advantage of hospital patients and attempting financial ruin without sending proper invoices to the patient and/or not submitted charges to insurance in a timely manner. I suppose if I don’t hear from CHI so they can correct their predatory business practice, I will speak with legal representation.

      I took a personal loan out in January Of this year to pay CHI clinic and hospital off. I contacted the collection agencies and CHi billing and took care of bills over the phone doing online bill pay. Then 2 months later I get contacted saying I still owe money. I have been trying to deal with them on my own but they still want me to pay money I paid. They need to reevaluate the billing process, spend is dropping the ball. I will not take at them anymore and I told that to them today. I will contact a lawyer as a next step. This is not a good business practice and I will never give them my business again. All I want is them to accept mistake one write off what they seem to think I still owe. Paying the interest on my loan is enough. Thank you for your time.

      Here is the new amount they say I owe. This is crazy! I want them to write off the balance. I left messages for them and then when I look the amount owed goes up. I have went through my receipts and  have misplaced a couple trying to work on my classes and deal with this. CHI can afford to write this off so that’s what they need to do so this can be done. I have told them I will contact my lawyer.  Please help  me get this settled so I can concentrate on classes. Thank you.
