      My problem is with their subsidiary in Florence SC, name of the business is MCT Companies/Carrier Transicold at *** * ******* **, Florence SC 29501.
      I had a problem with my carrier reefer unit and we took it to their shop, 30 minutes after check in technician check over the unit and told us that EVO T sensor needs changing and let us know that the job will be done in 2 hours. Unit went inside the shop at 9:00am local time and it was done at 11:00am local time ( exactly 2 hours ). When i received the invoice from them i saw on the invoice that they charged 65.38$ for the part itself and 1425.45$ for the labor. That is way more then 2 hours labor. When i called to speak with the service manager and ask him why i am charged way more then the 2 hour labor for the job, his response was by their book they need to charge 8 hours of labor even if they finish in 2 hours. Service managers name is *** ****** his email is *********************** and his phone number is
      ************ . That is not making any sense to me, even more because the technician told us that the job going to be done in 2 hours. I don't know what kind of business runs this kind of scams. But this is pure rip-off and highway rubbery. I want billing adjustment for the labor they actually did on my unit.

      I spoke to ******** on 2/2/24 regarding his experience at our Florence, SC service location. While he acknowledged 4 hours of labor would have been a fair charge, I decided to refund that full ticket amount of $1,640.14. A copy of the email send to ******** on 2/2/24 in follow-up to our discussion is also copied below. Doing right and treating our customers fair are core tenents and values of MCT Companies. We addressed the billing practices, instituted some system changes and will continue to train and develop our people to emphasize the importance of fair billing practices. This experience is not taken lightly. Thank you for the opportunity to respond and make this right.
