Finding a dentist isn't something that l've ever really had to "be in the market for." I've always been blessed having the same dentist my whole life until relocating to Omaha. We found a dentist that we actually liked & of course after a couple years we learned that they were going to be out of network in 2025. So I get on our insurance website & I see an office less than a half of a mile away from me.. Convenience isn't always key in our case. Do yourself the favor and walk away now. I now owe this office like $900 and something just for some X-rays for me and my spouse. Fine that is my own fault for not understanding how insurance all works but after being on and off the phone with these people and my insurance company the past 4 months, I have learned how unprofessional & what a headache this office truly is... This is a "dentist office" & you mean to tell me you don't go over your cases for the day nor can you provide the proper tools to install some partial teeth is enough to get me to NEVER step foot in this office again. You are literally a number and dollar sign to this office & how expensive life is the way it is, do not give these people your hard earned money. Someone really needs to investigate the office manager..... to bill us $400 for some screws & tools you didn't even have is mind boggling. So many wasted hours and tears at this business.

Shared insurance coverage with the office staff prior to visit and they did not mention anything about insurance until three weeks later and two days prior to some major dental work to be completed. Overcharged for cleaning 500+ dollars stating the insurance would not cover. Others in the area without insurance charge for a routine dental cleaning range $75 to $200. Poor communication in conveying what the insurance would cover prior to the first visit. Something is wrong when they make a mistake in communication and still try to collect on it. The hygenists and the dentists are great but, the office management needs to inform what the out of pocket costs are prior to the work being completed, in which they did not. I would request that you give me the resources to reach out to adjustments to help make the cleaning allowed, as this was something that was to be covered and I was misled that it was, and should have been informed differently at the time of service. As much as I hate to do this, I just wanted to be treated right and your oversight should not be at my expense.

Summit dental has reached out to me due to my former complaint. Summit dental incorrectly sealed a crown on my tooth that led to decay. They reached out to me and informed me that the dentist that gave me improper care is no longer at their practice and instead i’m taking responsibility, I would have to go to a different state for the inadequate work performed on my crown under summit dental supervision. They made no apologies.

Summit Dental advertises themselves in a Google search as ‘friendly dentists can provide you with top-quality dental care when you need it.’ This is anything but the truth. Summit Dental incorrectly sealed a crown on my tooth that led to decay. Because of their negligence, I will now need a dental extraction and implant. I have seen two Dental Practices and was stated to me that it appears that based upon my X-Rays that my tooth was not sealed properly. In Nov 2023, I presented to Summit Dental for “limited exam” and was seen by Jacek J*******, My chief complaint was my tooth (#12) and I was concerned about how dark the tooth was. Jacek stated to me, "it wasn't an airtight seal margin".I was told that my tooth would need to be extracted due to this improper margin seal that was performed by Summit
In Sept 2017 When they were placing my #12 crown I will never forget Steven Fidone saying to the dental assistant, “it’s loose” while he was fitting it in my mouth. My reaction was, “What! Is that okay?” Their response was, “it was fine.” The crown didn't encase my underlying tooth. In Dec 2022, my crown fell out. I returned to Summit Dental to have my crown to be recemented. They did not mention anything about the decay that was clearly present at the time. In Oct 2023 returned for a cleaning this was the first time I was told that there was “some decay” from Dr J******* his treatment plan was ‘to cut the gums and scrape around the crown.’ I told him I had to think about it, I felt that this was not the correct way to determine what was wrong underneath the crown. I came back 2 weeks later, That was when Dr J******* pulled the crown off and told me the tooth was beyond decayed and needed extraction. Why was this long term decay not discovered when the crown fell out or mentioned to me during the other visits? He stated that he ‘doesn’t have a crystal ball’ so he doesn’t know why. Summit Dental needs to be held accountable for my treatment due to their negligence.

This review is for the La Vista Summit Dental.
Its so hard to find a dentist for a specail needs adult that will take Medicare( heaven for bid the person come before profit) Summit Denatal is the only one out of 45 calls I made. We went in for a cleaning and they recommended the replacement of a crown, Was told it would be *** after medicare, Day of appointment it was ****.00 was told the preapproval was rejected. I asked why I was not contacted with this information. A very rude person asked if I wanted to cancel the appointment. I asked again why I was not told of the rejection. She told me I was contacted well I was not. Again I was asked if I wanted to reschedule the appointment.
This is not the first time I have been treated so rude.
As the parent of this person I am willing to pay what I need to for them to have the same right to dental and medical that all people are intitled to but dont treat me or them Iike we dont matter.
Summit knows you have not other options for Dental so they treat you like scum.
