  American Fence originally installed our fence about 7 years ago (Aluminum Fence) and it was damaged by the windstorm. We paid our deposit on September 18th, after multiple phone calls to find out when our fence would be repaired, I finally received a communication from Penny (on November 20th) that our product was never ordered. But was told that she would update me after NOON on the 20th. No call, no email update. Calling the main number is an exercise in futility as you will just get a voicemail that will not be returned. After 2 more unanswered emails I am left wondering if it will ever be fixed or should we request our money back?
  
  I have emailed the project coordinator, Penny. The customer service email address, our original estimator and the corporate office - the result. Crickets.

  I wish I had known this information before I contacted them, however, they initially installed the fence, so I thought they were the one to call to repair it. I calIed for a repair in 2021, over and over. It was finally repaired the next summer 2022, and I was told the email was sent to the wrong address. I too, have had a horrible experience with the customer service. This is in reference to the storm in July of 2023. The costs was outrageous for replacing 2 pickets, 1 top rail and 1 post. I was told they had to order pieces and they had not come in. I don't think they used new pickets, but I'm not sure. I paid a deposit in July and someone eventually came to repair it November 21. One person came, did not ring the doorbell or knock so I wouldn't have known if I hadn't looked out my window. I called and called and left messages. No one returned my call. I called to request a little of my money back because I don't think they used new pickets, but was told 2 people came out and since my fence is repaired I owe the remaining amount on the contract. She was rude and began to raise her voice. Never again!

  Worst Customer service I have ever had. I have been screwed twice by them. The first fence I put in at my previous house got damaged by a tree limb. It was wood looking vinyl. I called them and they didn't carry that color any longer. If they ordered it in I would have to pay for the whole pallet. One pallet of the rail and one pallet of the pickets. I need one of each. I ended up getting some mismatched color to fix it. The second house I had them tear out the old and put in a new stained picket fence which was beautiful. This was in the fall of 2020. I had been told that for a year any pickets that warped they would be replaced. For a year I had them come out 2 or 3 times to replace pickets. Today fall 2023 I had them come out because about a 1/4 of the current pickets are warped, split or the nails are popping out. He spent 5 min looking at the fence. They emailed me and said they don't carry that fence any longer and that they could give me an estimate for cedar pickets that would not match at all. No other solution American Fence has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Avoid them at all cost.

  A have had American fence company affiliate of Omaha or LA vista Nebraska, do work several times on my fence. Most of the time American fence had to come back because of poor workmanship on my fence. I was told by Jared at the Lincoln branch American fence company that they did not make any money on my fence (because they do crappy work and have to come back and redo the job). Then Jared told me they would have to charge me more if called them again.

  Paid for my fence on May 2, 2023 I was told 5 to 7 weeks, they came out and took down my wooden privacy fence and put the poles in over 3 weeks ago. I had to call the company to have them come out to put the fence up because I have a disabled veteran who lives behind me that has 3 big dogs. They came out and put the fence up in about 3 hours why they couldn't have came out 3 to 4 days after setting the posts I have no idea. I am now on my 8th week and still no gates and all I get is there being fabricated. The other complaint is why wasn't the material ordered when I paid them the down payment they required. I have worked with American Fence in the past for my work before I retired and never had any issues. I have been going up the chain trying to get this done. I should have read the reviews on here if I had I would have never signed a contract with them. Real crappy way to run a business especially one that has multiple locations. If I get nothing from them this week I'll bring an attorney in and will take them to court.
