Never sent an invoice only a text. Broke several items and then threatened legal action if I wrote a review. I simply wanted money for damages.

Hello- I attached the invoice that was sent to the wife via quickbooks so they did have the invoice. On the invoice you will see noted we took off over $1000+ of cost of the overall bill. We did this initially because we had been a little late to our time window of arrival due to a job booked for the AM slot taking longer than anticipated so I charged less overall hours, discounted drive time and fuel charge. I thought the move overall went well til I received many calls from the husband days after the job yelling about how bad of a job we did yet his wife had no complaints and was very thankful. He demanded I meet him at a public place 45 mins out of my way to discuss more, he called at 730 am. When we went there to talk, he demanded a $1000 check made out to him (mind you he wasn't the paying party). I told him I still needed photos of damages so I can reimburse and that I would have a contract for both parties to sign stating we fixed the problems and made it right. He stormed off upset due to my contingencies and was clearly unstable the last few days. I am slightly worried something else is going on here.

In regards to the gas line photos, we do not do installments with gas lines due to the nature of the liability and I let him know on the job site that day. He would need to hire a professional for those.

For the TV's- we ask our clients to move those in their personal cars and advise these TVS to be put in TV boxes which they did not do. There was 4 TVS and the wife did take 3 in her car and we put one in our car. There is no way to know which is which but I personally replace the TV when/ if this happens yet we didn't even get the chance to speak about that before he stormed off.

We do not wish to further reimburse this client.

Hired 10 Men Movers to move us from *********** to **********. They gave us a quote we agreed to if between $***** - $*****. We put half down of $********. They broke a tv and a dining room chair. They offered to buy a new tv for $***-$***. Wanted to try and fix the chair. I can't replace these items for that amount. After they were done moving us they charged us $****. They need to reimburse us for this and broken items. Thank you

    Business Response /* (****, 6, 2022/12/08) */
Thanks for the feedback. From the business side- you guys changed your move date and moved it up two weeks in advance which we accommodated for. This Client had added an extra days of work for an apartment move with 3 stops plus furniture from your daughters place. This was not communicated in first initial phone call till later date when they called back to reschedule and too add the extra day 0f moving. We had communicated over the phone call of you changing the date that the estimate could be closer to $******** and that's its based upon timeframe and adding the extra day could cause it to be higher then prior quote's that was given for just ** move only. We had also stayed an extra two hours putting together beds and moving around every piece of furniture at your family's beckon call, our guys also took off there shoes in and out of the house at the request of the client so the carpets wouldn't be ruined, which was no problem at all but it did consist of more time on the bill. We had put all the boxes in the garage at your wife's request because you guys had mentioned it be easier to unload into house since everything had been in storage for so long and didn't know what was what..

There were two items that got damaged, one was an old tv that you did not provide the box for and we tell our customers that is the safest way to move, the other was a chair where a piece of wood broke off that can be easily fixed with wood glue. We offered to fix items and still took money off bill. Total bill was only $***** over original estimate with adding extra day of work and move from *********** to ***** including 6 hours of drive time equated to 17 total hours for the two days- As for the confusion with the rate 5 guys and a truck is $*** an hour, however we had sent you 8 guys and two trucks instead of one due to the fact you needed two full truck loads instead of one for this big 10/30 unit. that hourly rate was $*** an hour which was still within estimate for ** MOVE ONLY- We also had extra team members come assist back in ***** for the unload for no extra charge.

Unfortunately none of this was brought to our attention the day of the move, we reached out multiple times to try and compensate you for what you thought was fair. You politely hung up multiple times and didn't respond to any of our attempts. Replied with "I paid you, let's leave it at that." Our goal was not to end up here, we still will try to do right by you if you let us. Moving can be stressful, we felt the move went very well our guys really did bust there tales to get this done for you, however the job just took longer and its based upon the total timeframe of the job. If you wish to chat about this moving further please give us a call, we would have no problem chatting with you and resolving any questions you have or we can part ways and we wish you and your family the best. Either way you are welcome to give us a ring to chat if you wish to work things further!

We had also taken $*** of the bill after he wrote us a check for $******** and signed off on it. He had said I paid you lets let it be at that. After client slandered us online before contacting us we reached out and offered to buy a new tv, fix the chair and or write them a check for reimbursement for a additional $*** on top of what we already took off. They politely declined and are looking to handle things legally instead after we have tried to accommodate them properly.

Let us know how we can help.

    Consumer Response /* (***0, 8, 2022/12/12) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
We did not add extra day. The quote was $*****-$**** maximum and was told his big the storage unit was, and $*** per hour. We then asked if they could come the day before and move a few items from our apt. And daughters house. Very few items. He quoted me between $***-$***. We agreed in these quotes.
I asked them if they could move tv and they said they could put it between bed mattresses. It was not an old tv and ge dining room chair was damaged by ************ trying to stack 3 chairs on top of a push cart. This chair has a damaged and cracked leg And was bought in *******. These items cannot be replace for $***. I asked for $**** to replace these items, and for the gross misquote and overcharge, I would settle this. If not I will pursue small claims. Thank you.

    Business Response /* (***0, 11, 2022/12/15) */
    Hello

We had Reached out to client multiple times and explained why the bill was higher and had offered to give a $*** reimbursement for the damages on top of $*** we already took off bill. They had signed off on payment with a check, after initial deposit because job took longer than expected. We had called multiple times and messaged back and forth. Them Moving their job up we had to accommodate for our other clients as well which we discounted there bills as well for lateness of our arrival.

They have said they are wanting to take matters to into there own hands and have politely declined our offer. We are waiting for further instructions.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
It looks to me like BBB is not going to resolve this. Our offer to settle this dispute is very fair considering the damage and overcharge from original quote. 10 men movers knew exactly the size of the storage unit so a much better quote should have been given. I would not have used this company if I knew the amount would be $**** and the carelessness that was used toward our furnishings.
