This was my first and last time at wheatfields. The chicken was good but the potatoes were thick, dry and had no flavor. The biscuit was smashed I couldn’t even cut it in half. The atmosphere is loud and the tables are too close together. They sat me at a table right by the kitchen, my grandma was bumped into multiple times. The server was okay didn’t speak much but kept our drinks filled. The lady that was cleaning off a table across from me had a wet sudsy rag. She flung it and the water splashed on me and my to go boxes with my food in it. I took my pie to go and when I opened it later on it looked like the server dished it up and all the filling fell back out into the pan. He just put a piece of crust in my to go box. Oh and somebody hit my car in the parking lot and damaged my front passenger door pretty good.

My brother bought a gf cake for my birthday. $50 for a cake with moldy strawberries in the filling. My kids mentioned it tasted weird. I looked at mine and found black strawberries. My son’s slice had furry fruit in it. When my brother tried to return the more than half uneaten cake they offered him a gift card. Looking through other google reviews, I’m seeing other customers who have been given moldy cake. Why would we want credit to a restaurant whose standards are that low?

I handled the return of this cake myself. I looked thru the cake
that was left and could not find any mold. Knowing that strawberries
can mold in one day, due to bruising during the shipping period, this
does happen and we do our best to sort out any bruised berries and
since we do not use preservatives, sometimes & very seldom the molding can occurr,
Our standard policy for everyone, is to reimburse the customer for the
product with a gift card, even if there is no proof and that was the case
with this cake. The customer was given a full refund gift card. Ron

They are supposed to have an A+ rating and I don't see how that is possible with all of the bad reviews that they have on this site alone. I wish that I could give them 0 stars. I have a friend that came in from out of town. I wanted to take him to a nice place where we could talk and I took him there. It was one of the worst experiences of my life dining out. It's not an inexpensive place to eat. Our meals both came to over $30 each. They had a vacuum running at least half of the time that we were there. A very shrill high pitched noise in the vacuum that made it impossible to talk and it was so unpleasant. I even explained to our waitress that we were paying a premium price to come out to eat and enjoy ourselves and the vacuum was on at least half ofI the time. At the end of our meal, I needed to use the restroom. I went back and someone was mopping the floors in the hall to the restrooms. They had just got done mopping the restrooms. The floor was sopping wet. The woman mopping told me to be careful. How about not mopping when customers are there? The water smelled like pure bleach. I have mobility problems and breathing problems. I'm in that restroom worried about slipping and falling and inhaling pure bleach. I talked to the owner, who was such an a hole about it. He said he would bring it up in the next meeting. How about saying something while you were there. He was there the entire time. Both of our clothes smell like bleach still after we got home. My eyes are still watering and I'm still coughing and am hoarse from all the bleach that I had to breathe. I mean the floor was not mopped, it seemed like an inch of water on the top of the floor just sitting there not mopped up. After I found out that he jerk was the owner, I will never go there again. Never. It was not only unpleasant from the vacuum but a danger from the sopping wet floors and the bleach that we were forced to breath. Idk why the BBB doesn't do something.

I talked to the customer for about fifteen minutes
and apolgized for the cleaning smell in the bathrooms
      and the vacum noise.
This was long after we closed at 2p.
I talked to the server who was doing the hand vacuming and
she said that she stopped using the small hand vacum, when
she realized there was a customer still in the restaurant after
closing. The customer admitted she loved her food and her server
      was very good.
Customer was fine until she demanded a free meal.and I declined
to give her a free meal and then she got rude and abrupt.
