We purchased a new fifth wheel from AC Nelson in September of 2024. We took the camper out for the first time in October of 2024. The refrigerator of the unit did not work. We called and made an appointment for someone to come out and take a look. We paid extra for a warranty for mobile service. (this is above the 1 year warranty from the company). We waited until January of 2025 for someone to come. This gentleman determined that the fridge was indeed bad. Said he was going to order parts and come back to fix. On March 20, 2025 I called the gentleman to find out what was going on. He informed me that he had been fired by AC Nelson. So, we were still waiting. No one had called to let us know what was going on. I then called the AC Nelson office to find out the next steps. We are still waiting for results. I called again today, April 21, 2025 and they tell me they are working to figure out a solution. I am not sure why we cannot just get a new fridge.

This is a repair that we had done a sublet to an outside company.  The repair was not completed correctly.  We have reached out to the customer this week and let them know that the manufacture is sending us a new fridge and we will install it when it comes in.  Customer seems to be happy at this time.

Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Camper Pricing and Broken Deal
Dear A.C. Nelson RV Sales, and ****** ******, Owner
I am writing to formally express my disappointment and frustration regarding the dishonest pricing and broken agreement related to my recent camper purchase negotiation at the Omaha Boat and Travel Show. My experience with your company has been far from satisfactory, and I feel compelled to bring this matter to your attention in hopes of a resolution.
During the Omaha Boat and Travel Show, I was presented with a specific price and deal for a camper. After careful consideration, I agreed to the terms as discussed with your sales representative. However, after finalizing my decision, I was later informed that the actual cost of the camper was 36,000 but was actually 30,000 different than what was initially agreed upon. This deceptive practice not only misled me but also significantly impacted my purchasing decision.
It is highly unprofessional and unethical to alter the agreed-upon pricing after a deal has been reached. I trusted your company’s representation at the show and was led to believe that I was receiving honest and transparent pricing. The failure to honor the deal not only wastes my time but also erodes my trust in your business.
I am requesting that A.C. Nelson RV Sales rectify this issue immediately by honoring the original price and terms discussed at the Omaha Boat and Travel Show. Or educate your sales Manager T*** ******** in how to sell campers. I will be filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau and other consumer protection agencies.
I expect a response to this matter within [reasonable timeframe, e.g., 7-10 business days]. You can reach me via the contact information provided above.
I hope we can resolve this issue amicably and in good faith.
      Sincerely,
      ******* ******

We have not changed the agreed upon price of the camper but the bank required a down payment for approval.  We informed the customer of what the requirements were and the customer did not want to put the additional money down.  We talked to them last night and told them we would refund the deposit today.

We purchased a brand new 2023 Freedom Express ********* camper from the AC Nelson, Omaha location August 12, 2023. We took it camping two times that fall, during the last trip in October we noticed some leaking on the inside of the slide. My husband noticed a gap in the gutters and called AC Nelson after our trip. They scheduled us a service appointment for February 8, 2024.
We brought the camper in on the service date and my husband walked through our concerns. The first week in March we received a call stating the camper was done. When my husband went to pick the camper up he noticed the gutters he was concerned about had not been fixed, when they went inside the camper the ceiling in the slide was drooping from what appeared to be water damage. They kept the camper and said they would repair the gutters and evaluate the damage to the slide. We had a 10 day camping trip scheduled for end of May in Iowa which costs us a approximately $200 to book and we have another scheduled in mid June in Kentucky with multiple others, the bookings currently standing costs us $350. We asked the service techs if the camper would be done by May and they were confident is would be as this was the beginning of March.
In mid-April, we had not heard anything so my husband tried calling to check on the progress and see if we need to cancel our May spots. The receptionist said she would have someone call him back. This happened every week with zero call backs.
On May 3, 2024, I called ********, the camper manufacture. The customer service manger at ******** was able to see AC Nelson had submitted warranty claims April 1st for all the work we noted needed to be done when we brought the camper there in February. He stated that AC Nelson was paid April 16th for the warranty work. Which should only be done when the camper is completed. He noted April 26th another part was ordered, with no explanation.
I called and left messages for the Business Manger, with no return calls.

We at AC Nelsen are sorry to hear of your experience with your camper thus far.  While we have taken the necessary steps to try and resolve the matter in a timely manner, we have failed in some areas of communication.  Our Shop Manager was in communication with the manufacture on getting the warranty claim in and following up with an estimated timeline.  Due the fact the roof is manufactured what the warranty rep referred to as a sister plant that would be making the replacement roof, the manufacture was unable to give us an estimated time, other than "to allow at least one week, if not two" in an email we received 04/23/24.  We are unaware if the customer was made aware of this as one of the employees responsible for making this call is no longer with the AC Nelsen RV.  Our Shop Manger reached out again to the manufacture on 05/16/24, after allowing adequate time based off the 1-2 week estimate from the manufacture representative.  The manufacture reached back on the 05/20/24 to say the roof had been shipped and should arrive later in the week.  At this point we do know that we did regain the lost communication as we have two employees that have verified that they did reach, as well the customer stopped in.  We do apologize for any lack of communication that you have experienced with us.  AC Nelsen RV will guarantee to have your camper back to you with the repairs that you have indicated to us no later than 06/14/24.
