  I brought a 325 - 350 pound black bear to Wildlife Creations - not a huge bear but respectable. I requested an open-mouth shoulder mount. The bear I got back looks more like the size of a German Shepherd hanging on the wall with a goofy tilt to its head! When confronted with my frustration, Steve said sometimes the measurement falls between a large and a smaller measure, so he uses the smaller measurement for the mold. (I'm sure it's just easier putting an adult sock on a child, rather than an adult sock on an adult!!) Another excuse was that Steve said sometimes the bear just looks bigger when you see it in the wild because the hair is fluffed. The only remedy he offered was to "back brush" the hair to try to make it look somewhat larger. Obviously, since the mold is too small, back brushing the hair would not fix the problem and only make the bear look like it was in contact with an electric fence!! For almost $1900, I was expecting a much better product! Not happy with Wildlife Creations - Buyer Beware!!

  This client requested a very specific pose for his bear. There were only four forms available for this particular pose. Measurements are taken after the skin is tanned and the form is chosen accordingly. We used the third largest form available since the fourth option was much too large for this bear. The skin actually fit the form well and was not too big for the form by evidence of the absence of any wrinkles that would have been caused by excess skin. We never like to have any of our customers to be unhappy with the mount that we do for them, but in this situation, we only tried to give the customer the specific mount he requested with the limited choices that were available.

  I wrote a negative review of this business earlier today.
  Several hours later the owner called me to say my European skull was done after 11 months. He stated the delay was due to my waiting to bring in the head for mounting. That being said, he was polite and friendly. The skull looks great. And Mr. E**** did insist that I did not have to pay the remaining $145 on the bill.
