  Joel, Tachelle & the rest of their family run fantastic estate sales. They are so helpful & the sales are very clean. Keep up the good work & don't let these couple of bad reviews get to you.

  Joel & Tachele are fantastic. Some of the best business owners in Nebraska. They take care of their customers and ensure a wonderful transaction from start to finish.

  Sadly, can't recommend the company. We researched, read reviews, met with and REALLY liked them. We expected that our liquidation would go as smoothly and profitably as others we'd read about. Unfortunately, our experience was far different. Issues with TOFES: *After nearly five months of communication, they canceled our contracted sale 4 days before the scheduled date (we were told 1-we didn't have enough items 2-their buyers wouldn't drive to our acreage north of Omaha and 3-their last several sales had been poorly attended and their overall sales were down.) *They suggested they take things they 'thought' they would sell to another liquidation-assured us we'd get a detailed list/photos of everything they took from the premises. *They never provided the promised, itemized report and photos of items removed from our property. *Told us WE had to retrieve the items that they took off site but couldn't sell. (It took 3 car loads driving from the Mormon Bridge to Elkhorn.) *Erroneously gave us other customers' items (which made us wonder if some of our belongings were in other clients' possessions?). *The final straw (and catalyst for the review) occurred when we remembered larger ticket items that had been in our garage but never accounted for. We contacted TOFES asking where they were. A few days later, Joel replied that they ONLY took 3 items from the entire garage and he would send the check. 20 days after, we received the funds and sales report, which revealed that the items were sold 18 days before we inquired about the tools! They never disclosed that they had our tools or sold the tools-then held our proceeds for 40 days from the date of sale when we received the funds. I've never written a negative review and feel badly saying unkind things. But I feel compelled to share what happened to us in hope that others might avoid a similar situation. If you decide to use TOFES, I sincerely hope you have a more pleasant and profitable experience.

  Bethany - since this is the same ridiculous review you posted to Google we will paste the same response. You're not trying to inform customers but rather trying to hurt our business - which this and the other review won't do.
  
  Bethany AGAIN not only is your review unwarranted, but also contains inaccurate statements. We first met with you to discuss your father's estate sale. At that time, you mentioned you were moving from your home next door and that you would have items in your home as well. We came up with a plan to consolidate the two estates.
  Several times you mentioned that you were unsure if we wanted to continue with your sale as you saw the caliber of sales we do and were concerned yours was not up to par - we should have listened to you!
  
  When it came time to do the final walkthrough, the items that were in your home and your father's home had changed drastically - to the point that we did not feel an onsite sale was feasible. Our contract specifically addresses this. At that point we should have walked away, but we decided to work with you on taking items on consignment. We covered the moving fees and didn't change our commission structure just so we could make this as smooth as possible for you.
  
  We NEVER give an inventory before hand - that was explained to you. We never told you we would give you an inventory list or photos. If we did, why are you only asking for that now with your ridiculous review?
  
  The "larger" ticket items in your garage is also an exaggerated statement - two leaf blowers and a weed trimmer are the only items we took from your garage.
  
  Also, our traffic to our sales in not down - in fact just the opposite. That is a completely false statement on your part.
  
  70+ years of accumulation is an exaggeration. After you and your family took what you wanted we were not left with the accumulation you indicated - far from it.
  
  After we were finished taking items on consignment, we arranged for our clean out company to come through and work with you. You were, at the time, appreciative that we scheduled this for you. If there were so many valuable items left why did you accept this option? Doesn't align with your ridiculous review.
  
  Very ironic that you have this list of concerns, but not one of them was brought up to us until now. We have text messages from you where you repeatedly thanked us for helping you.

  UPDATE - Your updated response on Google showing a partial text message between Tachele and you is also inaccurate. The context of that conversation was in regards to the list we provide AFTER we have sold your items we removed from your home - not BEFORE. Also on July 16th we did provide you pictures of what was unsold.
  
  I also want to address your comment on us "erroneously" giving you someone else's property. That is also an inaccurate statement on your behalf. You over jealously picked up someone else's property at the time you were picking up your property. This box was clearly marked that it was not part of your estate and was segregated from your items, but somehow managed to be taken by you or a member of your party. WE had to contact you to get the property returned as you never realized you grabbed someone else's property or if you did realize your error, you failed to let us know.

  We only want to share OUR experience. I never said anything sooner because I had absolute trust in you as individuals and as a business. Despite the many speed bumps, unexpected turns and dead ends, we believed that we would arrive at the mutually agreed upon destination. This is your 'profession'. I would have let everything go-chalk it up as a bad decision and experience-but when I found out that you had kept some of our items without permission, at no time disclosed that you still had our things and never contacted us when you sold them, I could no longer sit quietly and 'go along for the ride.'
  
  If anyone wants visual proof of the promised list of items taken from the property, check out my Google review. (I'm unable to upload photos here.) I stand by my original statement. Based on our experience, I will not recommend TOFES.
