      We were in contact with the owner of this company, to do a complete remodel of an area in the building. The bid he had given was accepted, and a start date was established. We stayed in contact with him for the next few weeks, he was very nice and responsive, but that ended just a couple days before the work was to commence. He would not respond to calls or texts, but he would read the messages sent without responding. It came to the day that work was suppose to start and he still had not responded to any messages, and did not show up to start the work. We had bought some of the materials he suggested and had everything prepped and ready for work to start, as other contractors were scheduled and lined up to start once his portion of the work was completed. It's a shame he couldn't just let us know it wasn't going to work out anymore, or that he wasn't interested in doing the work, whatever the situation may be. It really put us in a difficult situation to try and find another contractor to complete the work on such a short notice and short time frame because we had already put deposits down and dates set for the other contractors.
