Background:In March 2022, an agreement was made between ********************************** Amherst Dental Village, ************************************** *****, and myself, *******************************.After the in-person consultation at Amherst Dental Village, the agreement was to receive three (3) implanted teeth totaling $12,000.00.During the period from March 2022 to February 2024, I visited the dentist's office more than a dozen times, sometimes just for a check-up, an adjustment, or to get opioid medication for pain.Outcome:As of February 2024, only one tooth had been implanted, while Amherst Village Dentist has been paid $12,279.00.It should be added that the dentist did provide a credit for the implant that "fell out," but it still kept $12,279.00.Question:I believe that service for $8,000.00 has not been provided ($12,000 paid minus $4,000 for one implanted tooth). This process has been a lot of pain and suffering.A possible cause could be that I am just too old for the procedure to be feasible, being 75 years old. If so, the dentist should have told me and not charged me. Charging for something that is not provided and cannot be provided could be an example of elder abuse.A second implant was installed, but at a place with no contact teeth, so no chewing with that tooth is possible. The dentist suggested for this tooth to build a bridge, but that would be an up-sale. This implant has no tooth and only traps food. Would that be professional negligence?I ask BBB to provide their opinion.Regards,******************************* *****************************************
