I have two storage units with Rightspace Storage in **********. The credit card I use to autopay for these two units was hacked and I received a replacement credit card with a new number. On December 27, 2024, I contacted Rightspace to update my credit card number. I provided the updated number to Rightspace and they agreed to update the credit card number for both units. At 4:17 pm yesterday (January 16, 2024), Rightspace left me a message stating that my credit card payment did not go through. I contacted them today so see what the issue was, and they had not updated my credit card number for both units like they said they would do on December 27. Furthermore, because they said that the $380 payment was 6 days late, they are trying to assess me a $73.60 late fee. The person I spoke with said their name was ****** They would not reverse the $73.60 late fee. Furthermore, ***** would not give me the name of their supervisor or anyone higher up in the company to elevate my complaint. I feel at best, Rightspace is trying to profit from their mistake. At this point, and without further information, I won't speculate on what other reasons might be behind Rightspace not updating both accounts or refusing to reverse the late fee.

I have been trying to put things in my storage unit that require the elevator since October. The elevator has been broken. I let it slide as I know these issues can take time. Come to be my Christmas things out to keep my family tradition and I had to make 7 trips up and down their dangerous stairs with my heavy totes. Now Christmas is over and the elevators are still not fixed. My basement and hallways are being used to store my totes now, why should i pay for a unit I cannot access? I put in a ticket and never received a call because they lied and said they spoke with me and closed the ticket. There is another ticket open and I still have yet to receive a phone call. They are doing nothing to rectify this issue and I believe they should give me a refund for November and clear my account for December and January and let me clear my items out once their elevator is fixed.

Good morning. I started receiving mailings in August 2022 from RightSpace Storage, naming me (my name and address) as a c/o for a person I've never known named ***** *******. Apparently, the storage facility reached out to Londonderry PD, the PD (an officer) provided this facility with my name and address in an attempt to find all prior owners of a MC (as the facility was not able to contact/collect from ******* rent due); an MC that I've not owned since 2010. My last attempt to stop these mailings was April 2023 - I sent a note to the manager of the facility named Zack, he said he'd speak with his supervisor. I explained to Zack that he could call NH Dept of Safety (I provided him with a contact name and number) that would demonstrate that I've not been the owner of the MC since 2010. I am very concerned about my personal/private information having been disseminated with this facility, and I believe I am now being harassed by this facility. I've already had conversations with the PD, I was told that the issue on their end would be addressed as "a central training issue". This is not stopping the harassing mailings from this facility. I've kept all documents should you need anything from me. Thank you.

      Business Response

      Date: 05/24/2023

We apologize for any inconvenience that this has caused. We were not meaning to solicited payment form ******. This was an unusual circumstance, where a tenant was storing a motorcycle and despite being sold 13 years ago, the complainant with the BBB (******), was the last known registered owner with the DMV. By law, we were required to notify her of the towing or sale of the vehicle before it was removed from our property. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience, and ****** will not receive any notices from RightSpace Storage in the future.
