Diamond Mechanical Technician (****) arrived at 8:00 AM to my home on March 31, 2025 to check my propane furnace as I had a few times that it would not readily start right up to reach the set temperature. Before the service call, I replaced the air filter as well as cleaned the dirt and dust in the furnace but wanted them to check it out as I was suspecting the flame sensor could be the issue. The furnace was running fine when he arrived. He replaced the flame sensor and first floor thermostat and charged me $965.73. This included $355 for a thermostat. **** could not get the furnace to start and blamed it on low gas pressure and told me I had to call in my propane vendor, my propane company, ******, came the next morning and found that the gas pressure was 100%, and the Thermostat had been wired wrong as well as it was defective. ****** replaced the thermostat with one of his and corrected the wiring. Diamonds response "**** will come by tomorrow to get the thermostat, I apologize for the issue. This is extremely frustration on our end as well. We will issue the refund next week when our accountant is in on Friday (April 11th). Diamond refused to reimburse me for the $195 labor I had to pay to ****** caused by their wrong wiring and misdiagnosis and said they would only refund me the $355 for the thermostat. After a week they had not picked up the defective thermostat but finally agreed that I could drop it off at their office in their storage trailer since their front door is locked which I did on April 7th. As of today April 18th, I have not received a refund, and they will not answer me anymore via text which I find insulting. You cant get Diamond by phone they only seem to communicate back via text when you call them. An additional number for them is ************. At a very minimum I want to get the $355 refund for the thermostat, but I actually think they also owe me $269 for no cleaning done and $195 for the extra labor I incurred for a total of $819.
