My concern is they require $75 payment to be seen when my insurance covers 100% of their services, and the insurance does not require a co pay for walk in. I was seen in November, EOB states services paid @100% and I have not been refunded the $75. My insurance called them in March, no refund. I called today, they state my visit has been paid by insurance and the $75 is due but it has not been "green lighted" call back tomorrow please!

I was seen at a clearchoice urgent care establishment, had sent in my payment 2 or 3 different times but for some reason my HSA account would not pay, was sent a bill recently for amount owed with a due date on it, but before I could send in the payment again to fulfill my payment clearchoice charged my card on file 18 days before the due date. I will not ever go to another clearchoice again, I'll sit in the ER first.

I am a doctor and if I ever ran my business this way then I wouldn't have any patients left. I was told that my insurance was accepted at Clear Choice MD and that they were in-network and now I have a bill because they were not in network. In addition to that I see no claim submitted to my insurance whatsoever. When I called billing (Mason from Concord, NH at ClearChoice MD headquarters) they stated that they can't check insurances and they only check for active status. This is truly a deceptive practice and lacks any informed consent. Knowing if you're in-network or not is pretty easy to answer. Because the credentialing process is quite painstaking, so you are either an in-network provider for an insurance or out-of-network provider. It's pretty clear and actually a very simple question to answer.
I was told by clear choice that they accepted my insurance and that they are in-network. I know this because when I refer my own patients, I always remind them to ask if the providers are in-network. I teach my student doctors to do this too. If I told a patient I was in-network and I was not, then I wouldn't be much of an ethical practitioner. If I inadvertently misled them then I would surely be writing off the additional fees. Nurses, Doctors, and Staff at Clear Choice MD, this is who you choose to work for? They are taking advantage of the license you worked so hard for to earn and using it to benefit their own pockets and do harm. Where is the Justice? How is this empowering a patient and giving them autonomy? Where's the beneficence in any of this? Shameful!

The attendant who tested me for Covid and the flu refused to put the swab up my nostrils. I asked if that was okay, she said yes. The NPR was more sympathetic which makes me wish I would have questioned the validity of the attendant who tested. Big mistake on my part.
