In September-December 2022, I had Tyler work on some projects at my house. I hired Tyler to do a few projects, and most were done so badly that I had to hire another contractor to redo them. Not only was his work done extremely poor, I found him very unethical. He lied to me about having insurance. He damaged an $1,100 high end tub and put some stuff on it to try to cover it up and installed it without telling me about it. He gave me a $500 “discount” off the invoice but it’s too late to have it replaced. One of the projects was to install framing above pellet stove and TV mount. This was done so badly that the TV was literally pulling the shiplap off the wall within a few months after he installed it. I was lucky the TV never fell. When I had a new contractor remove the shiplap, he pointed out how negligent Tyler’s work was. He had 4 2x4’s with only 3 screws in each! One of the 2x4’s was all wobbly. There was nothing really securing it to the wall. When I let Tyler know that I had to pay someone else to redo his work and requested reimbursement, he never replied back. He offers no guarantee and doesn’t back any of his work after he gets paid. My current contractor (A-Team) put a 5-year guarantee in writing on his invoice. I am planning on taking Tyler to court to get reimbursed for the $1,650 I had to pay to demo his work then redo it correctly and safely. I sent him pics and a copy of the invoice I paid Ted from A-Team and he just ignored it. I have to redo my entire 2nd floor bathroom because his work is so bad. I paid him $3,984.37. He did tile work on my entry way and the grout is already cracking. I paid $1,739. I will sue him if I don't get my money back.

I was happy with the way the tub looked and told him that but after running my hands over the tile I felt grit and there was glue outside the tub on the tile Tyler stated I must have showered too early he told me to wait 24 hours I waited 72 hours to shower there was also damage to the walls and the woodwork that he told me he should have repaired he promised to come back and clean the grit off the tile but after 3 days of not hearing from him I asked him when would he be coming he then told me I was being agressive and I must have showered too soon which I did not and showering too soon would not have put glue and grit all over the tiles also part of the estimate was to clean the tiles which he did not he also left all the trash from the job on my front porch I would like the money back that I had to pay to repair the damage to the walls and the cleaning of the tiles
