    On 10/9/24 GN Fencing finished installing both a vinyl and a split rail fence at my camp at ****************************************************** I noticed the split rail fence had cracks in multiple posts and mildew/mold on rails shortly after final payment was made. I asked for detailed information such as company and manufacturer on what was installed and never received information beyond its a rustic hardwood split rail fence. I also asked for everything damaged to be replaced and was told one post was all that would be done. I would like a refund at this point for the split rail fencing so I can have another reputable company replace the fencing.

    This customer has reached out to me directly and I have told her that the corner post seems to be beyond normal characteristics and quality of wood material. I agreed to change out this one post. All other posts are normal for natural wood. she does not want to agree to me changing out only that 1 post. I've asked her numerous times if she would like me to schedule that to get replaced and she does not reply. She has been super difficult to deal with the whole job. We have done our best to please her and unfortunately she will never be happy. I take pride in my excellent reputation and am not going to stand to be bullied by a customer that can't make up her mind.

    Her complaints started while my crew was on site installing the fence. they installed sections of the fence and had adjusted heights to what she liked because her yard is not flat at all. she was happy with it when they left, then at 6am the next morning she is texting me saying that she does not like it now. i met her on site and made her happy.

    The crew finished install and walked around the whole fence with her and she stated she was happy with the fence and then gave the crew the final check. Then days later she is starting complaining about rails and posts

    I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because: 

    To The Better Business Bureau,

    I do not agree with swapping out only one post on my split rail fence that was installed. It is the worst but the other posts are also damaged as seen in the attached photos. I paid for new fencing. Im not sure why a fencing company would install it in this condition? I requested more information on the manufacturer or company where the fencing was purchased but have still not heard back. I would like this to contact them on their product. The invoice attached is very vague. I did do a final walk through but was rushed through the area with the split rail fence. I missed the poor quality and would not of paid if I hadnt. I got a second opinion from someone who works at another fencing company. He sent a video of a similar fence he installed years ago. It has no splittinghe recommended replacing all the posts. The rails are also mildewed/moldy. Ive tried communicating with the fencing company. The last text included shows a dismissive conversation. It is not the customer service I expected and not something I will tolerate. It is why I chose not to continue with it.
