    I have done business with Madeira *** for several years. Their customer service is one of the worst I have evern encountered. Their products are great but the price they charge for shipping is insane. They do not inform you of the shipping cost when you place the order, they wait until after the items are paid for and then charge the shipping as another transaction. They charged me more for shipping than the item itself and when I tried to cancel the order, they refused. I will never do business with ******* USA again and would highly suggest that if you need their products, find them elsewhere.

    Their actual products are great. I love their thread and would use them exclusively IF they would get their business act together. The biggest problem is their shipping practices. At this point, there is no excuse for them to not have that sorted out. I don't understand why they cannot have an exclusive account with USPS or UPS and give 2 or 3 options for shipping with the cost so you know what you are paying. You purchase and a day or two later they send the shipping cost! I don't even mind that I have to pay for shipping (most companies offer free shipping for orders over a certain amount). I just think it is very deceptive to not inform the customer what the shipping cost is until well after they've bought the product. Plus, the shipping costs vary wildly! It is actually insane.

    I love their thread but the support is terrible. Their commerce site is ancient. You have to complete your purchase and then they charge shipping and handling. Also, their customer service reps have no real knowledge of what that means. I tried multiple times to send a pdf file, as they requested, for sales tax exemption. The rep couldn't open a pdf file and her supervisor knew even less about a computer. I finally gave up and will do everything possible to not deal with Madiera moving forward. This is really disappointing because I love the product.
