    The homeowners were sent to a supplier to pick out the type of material and the edge detail for the countertops.  The day of installation she wasn't home, he sent her a picture and she told him that wasn't the edge detail she picked out.  He had no idea what she picked out because he was not standing next to her when she made the selection nor did she share what she picked out.  The paperwork matches the detail they got and I believe that is the one she picked out that day after talking to the sales woman.

    I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because: 

    I will say this plainly, he is lying. 

    We went to his subcontractor of choice and make the selections.  I was there with my wife and observed the discussion and choices.  We picked the material and the edge together, a pencil edge that was similar to our other counters. She and I continued to discuss the choices after the meeting. 
    We had no further communication with them.  ***** was well aware and participated in discussions with us in matching the edge to the rest of the house. They sent the work order to ***** and he missed it.  We hired him to manage this project and he failed to do so.  He never reviewed the details with us.  When the counter arrived, I was shocked to see the edge.  I reached my wife as soon as possible and she confirmed it was wrong.  
    We both had numerous conversations with ***** and he acknowledged that they made a mistake. At that point, he found the email confirming details that he had missed.  His mistake was not reading the email work order nor confirming with us. 
    ***** conveyed to the counter people that the edge was wrong and they stopped installation and left. To date the counters are unfinished as well as being the wrong ones. 
    His stance that we picked this edge is the first weve heard of it over the last 12 months of this debacle.  
    This is extremely distressing that he has taken this stance after all of our conversations with him  He clearly acknowledged they made the mistake. To turn around a year later and ****** this defense is quite disturbing . This is his subcontractor that he had complete control over and he failed to manage it properly. The bulk of the project was done by subcontractors at his direction. He managed each and every one of them.  They were under his control and we were never privy to any correspondence, cost or management
