    This is a complaint against Hampton Family Dental for intentionally promising to remove a simple tooth extraction at one fee then half way through the process inform me it would actually be over twice the amount that I was quoted. First they quoted me a Price of $181 dollars for the simple extraction. (I had already payed for an examination about a year before, where they diagnosed the problem.) When I went to the appointment I immediately identified myself and that I was there for only a tooth extraction & nothing else. The receptionist told me that would include a quick exam and a x-ray of the tooth. I had her restate that the additions she mentioned would be part of the total cost I'd was quoted i.e. $181,She reassured that it was. After the examination & the X-ray, a different person came in with an additional bill for roughly $335.more (on top of the $181. ) She said the $181 was just for the Examination & x-ray(which took no more than 5 minutes.) When I protested that addition because I had TWICE verified that the total price they would be charging me would be $181 dollars and told them I expected them to comply with the original quote (that had been reverified only about 15 min.'s before. They told me to leave. They with malice & intentionally lied to me twice & then exploited my vulnerability as I had already had had the examination & x-ray and was right on the verge of having the tooth removed when they tried to more than double the fee.As soon as they knew I wouldn't be a pushover they went from saccharine sweet to being cold & harsh. I still expect them to honor the price for the services they promised me and will pursue them doing just that.
