      I purchased tickets in the amount of $122.50 through Ticketmaster to see a concert at ************* in **********, ** presented by the Casino Ballroom on June 20, 2024. Due to severe thunderstorms, event staff ordered patrons to leave because the concert was cancelled. Chaos ensued as hundreds of people ran for cover and to their cars and left. However, at some point, well over an hour after we were told to GO HOME, the band decided to play. Because did end up playing, they are refusing to offer refunds to those of us that left as instructed. I have reached out to both venues several times and am only being offered tickets to another show. I told them I do not want tickets to another show. I want a refund for the show I paid for and left after being told by their employees that it was cancelled, not delayed. I also tried to get a refund directly though Ticketmaster but they said the venue is not approving them. All's I want is what I paid for and did not get due to an mistake on their part, not mine.

      Hi 
      This show was rain or shine, the weather and particularly lightning was within a mileage distance that required us, through our emergency management protocol, to remove the concert goers from the wide open field.  The message that the show was not canceled was announced several times from the stage.  After the weather passed through, the band performed their full show.  Because the band performed and because the show was rain or shine, we are not in a position to give refunds for the event.  We have, however, offered you tickets to any other show we produce, which you had declined in direct correspondence with us.  We would be happy to host you at a show of your choice at either ************* or The Casino Ballroom for the same value as your tickets to this show. Please let us know if you would like to reconsider this offer.   

      In addition, as it pertains to the BBB, this show was produced by Coastal Concerts, ************* and Live Nation.  The tie in to the Casino Ballroom is that Coastal Concerts also produces shows at the Casino Ballroom.  This was not a "Casino Ballroom"event.

      I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because: [I want a reimbursement for the show I did not see because of the actions of the staff at the event that night, an event presented by ************* and Hampton Beach Casino (see attachments). The weather was not the issue. We went prepared for rain. The issue was that the staff  ordered us to leave - to go home - because the show was cancelled. Parking was limited and we parked 2 miles away. IF there was an announcement made about the show not being cancelled from the stage, how do you expect us to hear it? We were well on our way home after being told by staff the concert was cancelled, not delayed or postponed. You are accountable for the actions of the staff at the event you presented. The next day I emailed ***** and Hampton Beach Casino and told you I did not accept the offer for tickets to another show and there are numerous reasons why, for instance, what if the cost is less, what if there are no shows I want to attend, what if I cannot attend any of the shows due to scheduling conflict or, what if I just don't want to take a chance on another disastrous evening. I should be given the option of a reimbursement for the show I did not get to see because staff told us to go home because it was cancelled. It is 100% their fault, not mine. All's I want is to be reimbursed for what I paid for that I did not get because of the staff at the event you presented and promoted. I can also provide hundreds of screen shots from other patrons there that night that had the same experience to assure you I am not lying.  You must provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution. If you do not enter a reason for your rejection, your complaint will be closed as Answered.]
