On November 8th my car was towed to Honest Engine Repair for an engine replacement. This shop was suggested by my warranty company. I was told it would be a couple weeks to get the engine and install it. I was told that the total out of pocket after the warranty covered their share was $4600.00 which I had my friend put on his debit card.

Then on December 19th I called the warranty company because the shop and shop owner would not respond to texts or calls for a couple weeks. The warranty company told me they paid the shop on December 5th because they reported the car was repaired and returned to me on or before the 5th. They sent me the statement from them paying the garage which showed I had been over charged $2300. I drove to confront the owner who refused to talk to me. I then went to the Henniker police department and filed a statement about fraud on Honest Engine Repair. The owner communicated last last week that the car would be done early this week. I have heard nothing from them and still do not have my car back. I then spoke with a mechanic on 12/29/22 and he said he hasn’t been there in weeks and said he does not know how to contact either of the owner but thinks they are on vacation. I am looking for my car to be returned in working repaired condition and the $2300 returned to me as well.

I attached the claims summary from the warranty company showing the $2300 in overcharging.
