    I contracted the use of the Skylight Room on 6/3/24 for $300, with a bar set up for $200 for an event (memorial) on 6/29/24 . It included a Buffet Luncheon for 100 People. The total came to $2475.00 plus a venue fee of $500. Total of $2975.00. After the service charge of 20.5% taxes and credit card processing fee, it came to $3822.00. This contract included linens for the tables, which i can send you. In their contract it states that there will be an additional charge for upgraded linens or chairs, so you would assume that the linens are included. I have printed off a hard copy of all the contracts with the changes they made to them after i signed the original for your review. I received a text on 6/27/24 at 2:43 pm that from *******, the events manager, stating that I will need to supply the tablecloths for the 12 tables and one 8 foot table. So I decided to call her. She stated she could provide the tableclothes for an additional charge of $600. I told her that this was unacceptable and unethical business practices and I would find my own vendor for the tablecloths. Then she says she has to speak with someone and will get back to me. Later she emails me over a new contact to sign with the tableclothes on the contact for another $351.90. I emailed her back saying no, I will not sign I am getting my own tableclothes and am sticking with the original contract I signed. I ended up renting the table clothes from Special Events of NE LLC for $196, set up the room on 6/2824. When I arrived at the event after the funeral on 6/29/24, I was met by *******'s manager, ***** to collect an additional $103.50., before they started serving. I asked him what it was for and he didn't know. So I paid it in order to get the luncheon going. On 6/29 I noticed a new email with a new contract charging me for the $103.50. they increased the room charge to $400. I want the credit back for the $103.50 and the $196 I had to pay for the tablecloths.

    I also would like a call from the BBB to discuss.  The information you have on your website concerning this business is not correct.  The business had been sold two years ago, so the new owners have only been in business for two years not 56.  I know the previous owners and they would not be happy with the way the new owners are doing business today.

    The complaint has been settled.  The Alpine Grove credited me back for the disputed amount.
