On April 26th 2024, I brought my truck in to have an oil change done and state inspection. The truck is a 2015 **** F150, when they where done they called and informed me that the truck failed inspection (which is not what the complaint is about) but the oil change had been completed. When I went to go pick it up and we were discussing the issues that caused it to fail I was so focused on the work that they claimed needed to be done that I didnt realize it didnt sound right when they said the oil change was $158.77 because the truck 10 quarts of oil due to it being an eco-friendly vehicle. I signed the receipt and took all the information and left as I was also on my lunch break and was very distraught over both of my vehicles failing that day. About a week later I was speaking with a friend who happens to be a **** certified mechanic who now lives in *****, and was telling him about my oil change. He then informed me that my truck only takes 6 quarts of oil and I needed to make sure they didnt actually put 10 quarts in because I could have significant damage to my motor, pistons, and more. I went to the official **** sight and verified what he had said and found that my truck does in fact only *********** quarts of oil. I then went and looked at the owner manual in the glove box of my truck (that was also in there when the appointment was done) and that as well said six quarts, along with the sticker on the inside of my truck door. I then called the garage and talked to the shop owner himself and informed him of what was going on. I explained that I no longer felt comfortable with his business touching my vehicles and with the extent of the damage that could be done to my motor I wanted it to go directly to a **** garage to be fully gone through to make sure my motor doesn't blow. The shop owner was extremely rude, refused to give me any insurance information and demanded I bring it back to his shop, when I told him I didn't feel comfortable with that he hung up on me!
