July 29, 2024. I had an emergency and had my car towed to Leon's Auto Center and paid $300 to get back right wheel sensor replaced. While replacing the sensor the bolt broke(which is common) they replaced it with one that was to long for my car and it destroyed the tone ring on the axel. They originally tried to play it off as it was like that when I came in and they were going to charge me to have my axel replaced. Luckily I didn't because when my personal mechanic and I took a look at it we saw the fresh new ***** on the tone ring as well as the metal shavings. I called Leon's auto center the next morning to confront them about it. The store manager said she "meant to call me, cause they were at fault" but if that was the case they never would have tried to charge me to begin with. I then brought it in the next day per the shops request. They said it'd be 1hr 30min over the phone but after waiting an 1hr 40min we asked how much longer, it then tured to a 2.6 hrs wait. But we ended up waiting a little over 4hrs. There was a few times we heard them talking about my car and how something got messed up during the test drive and that they had no choice, they'd have to order new parts. They never once told us anything up until the very end. The manager told me that they weren't able to fix the **** and she denied saying anything about my car. I ended up leaving the shop without getting the axel replaced, as I do not trust them to replace it without damaging my car further. My personal mechanic is now going to have to fix it. But this means im now down $450 because of a mistake that they made.
