On 11/6/23 I financed a 2016 **** escape. About 20 miles into a 50 mile drive back home the check engine light came on. I immediately contacted the dealer and was told to have the vehicle evaluated and my warranty should cover whatever the problem is. I had the codes run and was told that the 3rd cylinder was seized. Dealership gave me the number to a couple of repair shops near them. Not only did neither call back but it would involve me driving an hour in a car that drives horribly. I paid ********* **** to evaluate the vehicle which cost me $159. They told me I needed a new engine. They submitted a claim to the warranty company and it was rejected. I then had the garage next door to me look at the vehicle and they saw that the turbo was broken and that was the cause of my problems. That cost $500. They also submitted a claim to the warranty company. In order to have a vehicle to drive I made a payment arrangement with the garage to fix the turbo and hopefully the warranty company will cover the cost. I am now in the hole for $3000. For the turbo. The vehicle got me to work and started making a strange sound on the way. On my way home the vehicle died. I have had to have the vehicle towed twice costing me $300. I am still making payments on an inoperable vehicle and so far it has cost me $3959 for tows and such. The only thing I have ever gotten from the dealer was them telling me my warranty should fix the car. I got an oil change and the cabin air filter had a mouse nest in it indicating they did nothing to the vehicle. I want a vehicle of the same value to replace the lemon they sold me. Or a vehicle to use while they repair this one. This appears to be a violation of the implied covenant (promise) of good faith and fair dealing. Every contract comes with implied promises from both parties that they are going to be acting fairly toward one another. They have violated this which is a breach of contract.

I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because: the garage determined that the engine is blown. I am over $4,000 in debt just to get to this point. I was sold a lemon *** will end up with a repossession on my credit because I was lied to and tricked by this dealership.

    Sincerely,

Customer was told to bring to ********** and choose to continue to drive the vehicle. If the costumer brought it back with in the warranty time period we would not be having this complaint accountability falls on him. We were very clear on what our limited warranty stated.

I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because: [i informed the dealership that due to my work schedule an hour drive to them without a loaner vehicle was not possible. The vehicle still moved and i couldn't lose my job. Don'tgloss over the fact i was sold a lemon and instantlyhad problems with it. I did not sell myself a broken vehicle.]

    Sincerely,

I came into the dealership, looked at the truck because I had a plow on it. They had me do paperwork to see if I qualified to buy the second truck told me I did, and then sold my Toyota out from underneath me before I came in to sign paperwork. I called them the morning that I was supposed to come in and sign paperwork and they informed me that they had already paid off my truck And it was no longer mine so I went ahead and bought the other truck as soon as I left the dealership it started having problems now I’m looking at $9000 in repair that he says he’s going to fix but he is not giving me any kind of a loaner I have a business to run and he doesn’t care about it I’ve been told and I’m gonna be without a vehicle for at least another week and a half up to five weeks without a vehicle

First, MR ******* called us and then came into the office to buy a plow truck.  He saw that we had a 2016 Chevy with a plow and asked us to not to sell it until he came in to see it and do paperwork and we did that for him.   Mr. ******* told us he wanted to go thru with the new loan on the 2016 Chevy Plow truck and to start the process.  He did qualify for a new loan for the 2016 Chevy Silverado but we did have to pay off his Toyota Tundra trade in order to make the new loan on the 2016 Chevy Silverado work.  This is a normal process of doing our business and was required by his new bank in order to get Mr. ******* into a new loan.  We never sold the Toyota Tundra on him.  To this day we still have this vehicle in our inventory.  Unfortunately, the 2016 Chevy Silverado did have some require mechanical work after Mr.******* picked up the vehicle.  We communicated with Mr ******* and made arrangements for the work to be completed according to our buyers guide dealer warranty that Mr.******* signed at the purchase of the 2016 Chey Silverado.  Our buyers guide delaer warranty does not state that we provide loaner vehicles and we never conveyed this information to Mr. ********  With that being said, our Finance Manager Deborah has kindly loaned Mr. ******* her personal truck to use during the repair process of the 2016 Chevy Silverado.

We have responded to all phone calls and texts with Mr. ******* to keep him up to date as of the process of the vehicle repairs.
