      ORIGINAL TRANSACTION WAS JULY 23,2021 WHEN ORDER WAS PLACED FOR A HI-TIDE PERMANANT BOATLIFT. ESTIMATED COST 17483.00 WHICH INCLUDED INSTALL AND FABRICATION OF LIFT BEAMS . INSTALL WAS TO TAKE PLACE SOMETIME IN OCTOBER OF 2021 WHICH NEVER HAPPENED. WATERMARK WAS TO STORE THE EQUIPMENT WHICH WE THOUGHT WOULD BE SECURELY UNTIL SPRING FOR THE INSTALLATION.

      UNFORTUNATELY, OVER THE WINTER WE HAD ICE FLOW DAMAGE TO OUR DOCKS WHICH NEEDED MAJOR REPAIR AND COULD NOT HAVE THE LIFT INSTALLED BY WATERMARK. ANOTHER CONTRACTED WAS HIRED FOR THAT REPAIR WHICH WAS FINALLY COMPLETED THE WEEK OF AUGUST 29TH 2022 AND THEY WERE TO INSTALL THE LIFT.

      WHEN MY CONTRACTOR WENT TO PICKUP THE LIFT IT WAS FOUND OUTSIDE WHERE WE BELIEVE IT WAS STORED NOT SECURELY ALL WINTER. BOXES WITH MATERIAL WERE WET AND BROKEN OPEN, PARTS MISSING AND THE WOODEN CRADLES WERE INFESTED WITH CARPENTER ANTS. I HAVE CONTACTED WATERMARK SEVERAL TIMES (MY CONTACT GLENN F*****) TO COMPLAIN AND LOOK FOR SOME RESTITUTION THAT BEING A REDUCTION IN THE OVER ALL COST OF $12273.04 SINCE OTHER PARTS WERE SUPPLIED BY MY CONTRACTOR AND NEW CRADLES PURCHASED SINCE THE ORIGINAL ONES WERE ANT INFESTED .

      All of our boatlifts are stored outside and we have never claimed otherwise.  The boxes may be been weathered and wet, but all the lift components are designed to spend their entire life outside so there should not be an issue with weathered product (ie - these permanent lifts are installed on docks and are exposed to the elements year-round for their life by design).  All components were picked up by the contractor at our store and items purchased were checked before loading.  We purchase these lifts from a supplier in Florida and have been selling this brand for 20+ years.  We have never seen an issue with infestation of Pressure Treated (PT) bunks and were not given a fair chance to make this right.  In fact, we stock these bunks at our retail store and could have rectified this quickly.

      I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because: I understand that the lifts are meant to withstand the outdoor elements that is why they are purchased . The boxes were not weathered but completely broken apart due to wetness and parts were missing.  After paying for this lift 1 year in advance and WATERMARK not installing in the year that this was ordered as they advised they would you would assume that the product would be stored properly as not to sustain the appearance that it was delivered .   If the lift was stored correctly and seller took some pride in their work this complaint would not be filed .You must provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution. If you do not enter a reason for your rejection, your complaint will be closed as Answered.]
