Advertised items not available to look at and then are sold out from under you. Waste of my time and money.

We purchased a new 2023 Hyundai Sonata and Irwin Hyundai engaged in consumer fraud by pressuring us to purchase a Rust Protection warranty that would be fully refundable if we decided to cancel the contract within 60 days of purchase. We paid for the warranty at closing advising them we would not sign the contract until it was reviewed which they provided as we left the dealership. Within 1 week, the car had less than 85 miles on it, we called to get a refund and were denied. We never signed the contract for the purchase and the form they used was not even for the rust protection product that was installed without our knowledge or consent by an untrained salesperson. Irwin Service says they do not install, service or guarantee the product. Chris ***** then attempted to entrap us by saying because the product is now on our car, he can't make a refund because it may cost him money. The rust protection device takes 1 minute to un-install. The warrantor of the contract states it can be voided with a refund for multiple reasons, but the Dealer must initiate the process. The contract was sold as a 10 year term, but the warrantor lists it as a 7 year term. It is unclear what we allegedly purchased, why a non Hyundai approved aftermarket part was put in our new car and what happens if that fails or causes damage to our car. Irwin refuses to take any action to help the customer sort this out. We have been treated rudely by the entire Irwin management team, saying from the beginning they were too busy to discuss the issue and implying we were liars. Irwin Hyundai engaged in misrepresentation and non-disclosure based on a phony unsigned contract to pad their profits.
We have contacted Hyundai Corporation to assist us to resolve this matter with their dealership.
      Customers deserve better.

My daughter bought a 2005 Toyota Rav4 and needed to get it inspected. We paid for a
pre-purchase inspection and knew the car passed prior to purchase on 6/29/23.
When she went to pick up the car, my daughter. was told that the emergency brake had
frozen and that it would cost $2700 to repair the brake and replace the exhaust system.
I then spoke to them on the phone and they said either the car could be towed off the lot or
they would have to do the entire repair job. There were no other options.
I went down to speak with them in person, and after a lengthy discussion, they said they
would call me back with some options. Four hours later they called and said they would
weld a crack in the tailpipe for free and do the other work for $1500. I said this was not
acceptable and I wanted the car back in good working order.
They called back after another hour of waiting and said they had managed to unfreeze the
parking brake and that we could take the car.
This process was very suspicious from the beginning.
We knew the car was in good working order as we had a pre-purchase inspection, and I
called the garage who did that inspection after receiving Irwin's Bill and the mechanic
stood by their work and offered to make any repairs for free if they were actually needed.
When I told this to the manager of the service department at Irwin zone, he seem to
change his perspective and realized we were not going to pay a lot of money for repairs
that didn't seem to be needed. When he offered the "Free" welding of the tailpipe and
reduced the cost estimate by $1200., this was even more suspicious to me because
welding a small crack does not cost this much money.
Clearly, they were praying on a young woman who owned an older car and hoped to scare
her into purchasing expensive repairs that did not need to be done. This is completely
egregious and is a classic example of sexist mechanics trying to take advantage of young
      women.

We bought a 2013 dodge grand caravan from Irwin on February 7th 2023 and have had nothing but problems since day one. We reported to them an issue with a squealing noise but was told it would go away. Instead it turned out worse. We had it only a little over a month and had to pay $1300 for a repair. We picked it up after a week and a half and it started with another issue the very next day. It turns out it needs an ac pump. The day after we were told that the van started making a horrible noise I don't even know if it is safe to drive. It's sitting in our driveway and we haven't even had it 3 months yet. We owe 5 years on a vehicle that we don't know if it can be repaired. The vice president Chris I**** said he's done with our van. We bought from them because I read the reviews which seemed to be good reviews and now I know why there were so many good reviews. They delete the bad reviews. I know because I posted 1 (which I never post reviews until now) but they deleted my review. We do not consider them a reputable business. My husband is disabled and we feel like we were taken advantage of we needed a second vehicle. We feel like they should repair the vehicle weather they knew about the issues or not. We don't feel they are reputable because they will not deal with us anymore. They consider it to be our problem. If we knew about all these issues we would not have bought the van and if they didn't delete negative reviews we would have never gone with them. We understand some issues can happen without either party knowing but a reputable dealer would repair or refund their customer. This business doesn't seem to care about their customers. I was also told the employees could not talk to me anymore because I said I was going to contact the BBB. Well now I have. Thank you for nothing Irwin.
