    I set up an appointment with Miles of Smiles in May 2023 for myself, my husband and daughter. We verified before we attended the appointment that our insurance was accepted and they said yes, and that they would also verify a week before we attended just to be safe. After getting X-rays (husband and me), cleanings (husband and me), and exams (all 3, but barely an exam for our daughter), the bill was $646. They told us our insurance was not in network and that is why the bill is so high. We spoke to our insurance company and they said they are in network and the bill should be lower. We went back and forth with insurance and the dentist for months. My husband spoke to the billing department and they told him the bill was being processed under our insurance and told us the bill will go down, two separate billing department employees told us this. We got the bill again and its the same amount! I have called the billing department twice and have been ignored. I refuse to pay $646 when we were told by our insurance the dentist billed wrong, and the billing department told us the dentist billed wrong. They used a wrong tax ID number too.
