Franklin Adams Carpentry submitted a bid to rebuild our front porch on July 23, 2022. The entire job was estimated to cost $10,300 and take two weeks to complete. Franklin asked for a $6,000 deposit to get on his work schedule. We paid him the $6K deposit on 7/27/22 and the check was cashed on 8/12/2022. Now that Franklin had our money and we were on his schedule, he promised to “start the job late September and complete it by October 2022.” He made excuses and delayed, and his new commitment became “start in October and complete by early November.” By the end of November, virtually no work was done, and Franklin went radio silent on the job status. After the New Year, we asked for a new update in February 2023 and Franklin committed he would restart the job as soon as weather permitted. The weather this Spring was unseasonably warm and suitable for restarting this project, but no work had been done at all. On April 17th, we cancelled the job as asked for our deposit money back. Franklin became indignant and committed to paying only part of the money back ($4,000 of the $6,000 deposit—with virtually no work accomplished). Then, Franklin went “radio silent” and stopped communicating. We have sent weekly requests to Franklin demanding he return our deposit, but he is not returning calls or emails. Franklin Adams lied to us throughout this entire project. Franklin missed every commitment and deadline that he himself made. We still have not received any of our deposit money that he has been holding for over ten months! Worst of all, he took a picture of our house and is using it on his website without our permission. He makes it appear that he did work for us that HE DID NOT EVEN PERFORM. Franklin Adams Carpentry is a sham. Franklin is not a person to be trusted. He is a liar, a con man and totally unprofessional. I would like to say his work is terrible, but I can’t because he didn’t do anything other than leave a mess in my yard! 0 Stars

Franklin A**** Carpentry located at 36 Kings Corner in Whitefield NH was hired to construct 2 additions to our barn. He was paid deposits in advance as requested. He completed less than half the total project and never returned. Additionally we paid Frank A**** another deposit for materials to replace our roof and he paid for part of the materials and kept the remaining deposits and also disappeared without even starting the work. Frank A**** lied to us on several occasions and the work he did on the barn was poor. We will have to spend even more money to repair and reconstruct problems he created due to his incompetence and dishonesty.
