I spoke with the owner in January to book their bartending services for July & paid them $450 deposit. was expecting a call in the next couple of months to set up a meeting to talk about bar menu and grocery list as the owner said that that was one of her selling points. I reached out in May. Sent an email asking to set up a meeting. Did not hear anything back. A week later I sent an email asking questions with our headcount and exact drinks that we wanted to be served simply asking her to respond to the email with her answers and grocery list. Got an automated response asking us to set up an appt online . Made the appt for a week later— she missed it. Her excuse was that her friend was in the hospital. We rescheduled it and she missed that appointment too. Her excuse again was that her friend was in the hospital. Asked her to simply respond to our email from June. She then sent us an email saying that there was a glitch in her system and that the time difference ( MT-ET) made her miss the appts —contradicting her story about her friend. She also said there was a glitch in her system that made it look like we were new clients. Two weeks pass without response and it’s 14 days til the wedding. I contacted my wedding planner to give her the lowdown and she said she had spoken to a lot of other vendors in NH who had worked with Ashley and said that this is not uncommon behavior. The other vendors all gave poor reviews ranging from she is super uncommunicative to she will take your money and not show up to event. I texted her saying I wanted to cancel services. She dragged out cancelling for two days (pretending like I hadn’t fired her) then said she would not refund me because it was less than 2 wks from our date and that she had started working on grocery list. She said she had just gotten our drink list — But we had sent it 5 weeks earlier. I then asked for grocery list if she was not going to refund. She refused to provide it. Unprofessional uncommunicative scam.
