      My child was hospitalized in March. On or around March *****, 2024. She was taken to the ** by ambulance. We provided our insurance to the hospital. Some of the claims were covered. I did not receive any bills in the mail regarding this hospitalization. I only found out there was a balance when I got access to the online portal and was looking up bills from a January 2024 hospitalization.I first called on 6/17/2024 and spoke with ******. I told her we did not receive the billing statement and that I had spoke to ***** on 05/27/2024 to reviewed. I had asked for the account to be put on hold for the insurance to finish their review. I checked again in June on the online portal since, again, I did not receive a statement. I had called the hospital, I did not write down who I spoke with, and was told the claims were denied. I again called my insurance company. I spoke with ******** at Cigna who did started a conference call with ***** at Elliot who was very unhelpful. I called ***** back later in the day and spoke with ******* who called and spoke with ****** and advised her that the billing codes were conflicting with each other. I was provided with reference number 7275. I checked online again today since I had not heard anything in a while. I saw that there was no balance so I clicked on the statement and it looks like there is no balance only because they have now sent the bill to collections! I called ****** who advised me that the coding office reviewed and did not correct the coding. I asked for a manager as this should have been corrected and now the claims have been sent to collections. I have already paid thousands of dollars to the hospital for the January hospitalization and now they are refusing to fix their mistake to have my insurance cover the March hospitalization. I was transferred a manager called ****** who was also not helpful. She said that I could call the insurance again and ask them specifically which code to use. She did not offer any help
