  A year ago I left a 5-star review, after we moved from *********** to Manchester on Dec. 4, 2023. Couldn't have been more pleased. As I said then, "Ray's movers didn't pad the bill, treated every item with respect, wrapped delicate things, and were a good, efficient, very polite crew. Highly recommend."What a difference a year makes! On Dec. 14, 2024, we moved from Manchester to ********, a far closer move that enabled my wife and I to bring a lot of items to a new townhouse ourselves. We also had the movers simply put boxes in the garage to save their time. And yet our bill was $985 more, for the same household. The difference was the ridiculous amount of time taken to wrap even padded items. Somehow our small dining room table was even disassembled, with every component part painstakingly wrapped in mover blankets. Other absurd examples abound. Padded chairs were wrapped in padding.What's amazing is that a year ago a crew handled everything superbly, carefully, but with efficient speed, and this time a crew took its sweet time and racked up the billable time. One worker seemed hobnled with a knee brace. I would never use Ray's again, and will pass that advice along to any business associate who asks.The company's response to us omitted certain facts in a way that seems deceptive under RSA 358-A:2. In the first move, the move came in $220.75 below the estimate. Efficient! In the 2nd, $399 over the estimate. So, even accounting for the difference in hourly rate (weekend vs. weekday), and even assuming one mover the 2nd time was capable of the work, the difference isn't explained away. Further, the weather was perfect, and the travel time half that of the first move.

  Move went well thanks to Ray the Mover. Movers, Travis R********** & Robert C***** were very professional very hard-working staff. Efficient, packaged some of the items so that nothing would be damaged and marked boxes so when arrived we would know what was inside. Arrived on time and worked hard throughout the time that they were at our home. Couldn't ask for better service

  STAY AWAY.
  Damaged 45 items for over $7,000 and then refused to pay out even $1K. Made up all kinds of excuses, said they didn't disassemble items (which they did), refused to pay for stains on our couches, the list goes on and on. They damaged about 25% of everything they touched!
  Terrible moving job and terrible responses. I will be taking them to arbitration.
  They also yelled at my pregnant wife. Great customer service.
  It's too bad because I used ****** *** ***** for a corporate move and they were spectacular. Or maybe that's the point: they squeeze you when you pay for it yourself.

  The customer submitted a claim for damage on their move. A repair service was assigned to look at the items claimed and a settlement offer was made to the customer for what was found to be new transit damages. The customer was unhappy and sent us a rebuttal to the settlement and we reviewed the settlement again and made additional settlements to bring the claim to conclusion. This however, did not seem to satisfy the customer either which is why we offered him to review the information on Arbitration, which he has filed.

  Ray the mover, especially our mover Christian was exceptional. It was the best moving experience I ever had. They communicated with us throughout the entire move, were on time and so friendly. I would highly recommend Ray the Mover if you are looking for the best mover in the world! I truly mean that.

  Wonderful! Im older and sick. Couldn't do the packing fast enough so I had a lot of unprotected items. The guys jumped right in to make sure everything was safe to move. Brought everything to the 3rd floor! Didnt miss a beat. So nice AND positive. Very refreshing. Nothing seemed to bother them. Shawn, Alex and Nick. Best guys EVER. They went out of their way to help me. A special thanks to Shawn who went above and beyond. I would HIGHLY recommend. Ray the Mover had Riley, who estimated my move and was also great. Very accurate. Prices were outstanding compared to 14+ other companies I checked. Do your research, but I guarantee, Ray the Mover is the only way to go. From start to finish.. the best. I may need them to help me again soon and Im actually looking forward to another great experience. Moving sucks.. lol. But they can take some of that stress away and it is so worth it!!!
