Work done on 9/28/2023
Hired to repave a section of the driveway outside the garage. Paid 50% deposit on 9/21/2023 via check and remaining 50% they needed right upon completion. Total paid $2750
ISSUE: the new paving job has created massive dips on the driveway which did not exist prior to the fix. My concern is the water sitting in those sections will create damage & come winter, it's going to be dangerous once ice forms.
Initially owners wife Tiffney who answered calls/emails seemed responsive. Totally different story once work was completed and I left voicemails to share feedback, no response.
When i finally get a hold of Tiffney around 10/17/2023, her response was there maybe a rodent issue but she will send someone to look at it. Ridiculous excuse!
10/19 Brian T**** emails that there was no warranty & that's a lie. Prior to sending initail 50% deposit I was assured that they will take care of issues if any. (or else would have taken my business elsewhere). Also when I paid the final 50% I told Brian that once we can walk/drive on it and depending on weather, I will contact them if there are issues. He assured me that it will be taken care of.
He claims that his brother in law who came to give an estimate had suggested doing the entire driveway. Another lie.
I explained that if they do a good job, then down the road we can go back to them for more business once funds are no longer tight. Why does the owner have to rub it in, not once but in both his emails that I have funding issues. That was unprofessional.
Regardless of my financial situation, I paid them the amount quoted. So they need to stand by fixing the issue due to their poor workmanship. To think that they RUSHED through the job and were done in around 2 hours.
I gave them the opportunity to fix the issue. When they started to lie, I told them of their terrible customer service and response and that I will share it online. Got another rude email that he can file suit for defamation.

On July 31, 2023, CTC Construction Corp
received a call from ******* **** requesting a complimentary estimate.
On Friday, August 4, 2023, one of the estimators assigned went and took
measurements of the damaged section of the driveway requested to be repaired.
The estimator as well as the owner informed Mrs. **** that her driveway was
failing and needed a full replacement. Mrs. **** was told there were multiple
sinkholes found indicating a poor existing base and a repair would not properly
fix her issue.
Mrs. **** hired CTC Construction Corp. to
repair a section of the damaged driveway in front of the garage, which had a 3’
deep sinkhole. The customer was advised during the estimate and via email that
the patch must match the existing driveway grade which was uneven and would
create low spots along the seam.
The company payment policy (highlighted on the signed contract attached) for
all customers is as follows: 50% deposit to lock in a date and the balance is
due no later than the day of completion unless otherwise noted every customer
has the same payment terms.
On 9/08/2023 CTC Construction received a 50%
deposit. When Mrs. **** was contacted to schedule the project date, she stated scheduling
would depend on funding. At no time did we or do we look down upon or shame
anyone for their circumstances. We are a veteran family-owned business that has
done a great deal of charitable work in our area.
The project was scheduled to be completed on September
21, 2023 upon completion we had to call the customer several times to walk
through the job and collect the balance since she was not home. Once Mrs. **** returned
and a walk-through of work done was completed Mrs. **** signed the customer
satisfaction form. The customer satisfaction form states: “I have walked
the completed paving project and agree that the project has been completed as
the estimate specifications outline and has been completed to my
satisfaction.” ******* **** signed a customer satisfaction form
(attached) total paid $2750.
Both the office manager and owner conversed with Mrs. ****, on 3 different
occasions on the telephone and answered all the questions Mrs. **** had, we corresponded
back and forth with her via email 7 different times and phone 3 times. At no
point did Mrs. **** not receive a response and at no point in time did CTC
Construction avoid Mrs. **** in any way.
WARRANTY:
CTC Construction Corp. has never offered a warranty on repair work, and Mrs.**** was verbally told and signed a contract that also stated there is
no warranty on repairs (attached).
The GPS on company vehicles showed they were on-site at Mrs ****’s address for
just under 4 hours. Mrs. **** was gone for 2 of the 4 hours at a dentist
appointment. She made us aware of this after having to wait for her to return
for the walk-through and to collect the final payment.
Mrs. **** called on October 19, 2023, and left a message stating she was
experiencing puddling and expected us to do the right thing. A return phone
call was placed and a follow-up email was sent. In the response Mrs. ****, sent
an email and she stated “She received a terrible response & awful customer
service which will be shared online.”
Mrs. **** was clearly making false accusations about us and was notified via
email (attached) that we would take action if she continued. It was stated to
Mrs. **** “Please think of what you are accusing us of before you decide to
make it public. If a false assertion of fact is shared online and harms our
business reputation, we do hold the right to file suit for defamation.”
Sincerely,
CTC Construction Corp.

Complaint: ********
I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because:
-When the individual came to give quote, not even once did he state that the entire driveway needs to be fixed. He asked what needs to be paved so that he can measure it- 4hours of work? completely inaccurate. They came in just before 9am and left by 11:30am
Proof is that the school bus had already got the kids around 8:45am and CTC arrived AFTER that- called me multiple times since I was at dentist? Another lie. I have proof based on phone logs, they called only ONCE at 11:20 am when I was 5 houses away And I answered that call right away. Paid them by 11:30am
- when he made me sign he said it was to state that he gave instructions not to drive on the surface & not turn on sprinkler
I told him that once we drive & depending on weather if we notice issues, I would call up he assured they will take care of it
I asked about the bumpy part where he put some rough stone kind of finish He said it was something like some glue/ adhesive (later on another company that sealcoated the rest of driveway explained how that seam was not taken care of correctly by whoever had paved the section)
Infact 10 min before I left the house it was silent & as i left, they were all sitting in their cars/trucks by the 2neighbors houses. Assume it was their break. So they were here UNDER 3 hours in total, including their break.
Please let me know if you have questions. Simply based on the blatant lies & not owning responsibility for their poor/bad quality work- not standing by close to $3K work, I am certain this is grounds for impacting their BBB rating

Hello,
As explained in my response on 11/17/2023, I outlined the discrepancies I observed with the business response.
I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because:
-When the individual came to give quote, not even once did he state that the entire driveway needs to be fixed.
- They definitely did not work for 4hours of work
- when he made me sign he said it was to state that he gave instructions not to drive on the surface & not turn on sprinkler
I told him that once we drive & depending on weather if we notice issues, I would call up he assured they will take care of itSimply based on the blatant lies & not owning responsibility for their poor/bad quality work- not standing by close to $3K work, I am certain this is grounds for impacting their BBB rating.
Resolution:
- Due to the inaccurate information provided in their response, how much are they willing to refund to me for the issue created?
- What are my other options for resolution?
- And does the abovementioned justify BBB to reflect this dishonesty and poor quality work in your rating for this business? This would help prevent other customers such as me to not be taken for a ride.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.

CTC Construction Corp. is not looking to further entertain *******
****’s verbally creative complaint. We have a contract that was signed before
the job was scheduled stating there was no warranty and a customer satisfaction
form that Ms. **** signed the day the job was completed after she reviewed the
work.
The documentation ******* **** signed at her own free will clearly
states the patch work CTC Construction Corp was hired to complete has no
warranty and that ******* **** reviewed the completed work and was satisfied.
******* ****’s complaint is about the pre-existing asphalt
around the patch that is failing not the patch itself.
Your complaint clearly states you are looking for money.Customer Answer
