Agreement specifies that we should be invoiced weekly by noon and given all invoices for completed work. Not only did Aztec fail to adhere to this provision of the contract by trying to bill us for future work, but on December 13th when I asked to be provided invoices for weekly billing the written response was "I am not negotiating on this. I'm not billing weekly. This is how I run my business. Not changing now." Aztec failed to order siding, a window, and approved incorrect window colors/sizes resulting in significant delays in the project and 7 window openings had to be wrapped in plastic. As a result, water entered the structure and resulted in cracked drywall. Aztec ordered windows based on the rough opening size. Windows should always be inch smaller than the rough opening. When the framer raised this concern, Aztec had him force-fit the windows, which can result in long term damage to the property. Drywall worker pointed out that two doors were not framed properly; Aztec instructed him to cover it up with corner bead instead of correcting the issue. Aztec committed to completing the project in 6 months, didn't happen. July 6th email noted July start - work began on Aug 24th. House frame was built backwards. We saw this on our security camera and had to leave work to resolve this issue ourselves. Many quotes were not accurate due to Aztec's inattention to detail resulting in additional costs incurred. There were discrepancies with the pump costs and service drawing charges, which were part of our discussion with Aztec from the beginning but were not included in the budget. Aztec didn't secure permits for electrical and plumbing. I had to leave work early to pay for permits myself. I handled inspections with the town myself, which should been the job of Aztec. We tried to resolve amicably with Aztec, but they would not respond with a specific plan of corrective action after multiple requests. Refund: ******. Billing: Remove ********* from invoice 1150.
