      The Oil Boys (TOB) say it offers the privilege of their services with high end installations and the best quality. So far as the end product, I may never know. What I can say is TOB customer service is certainly not (always) of that caliber.
      TOB came by to replace the oil burner. What was missed was the unlined chimney. I can't imagine what headache that would have caused. After discussions I decided to move to gas fired furnace. They asked for the gas co to stub the new gas line before they start. I asked for advice on dealing with slow moving gas companies and was provided none. I asked if TOB could perform his installation and return when the gas company arrived. Again, no reply.
      TOB offered two dates for the installation neither of which I could commit to since the gas co was still dragging feet. Gas companies do not jump when TOB say so, just noting. They moved the installation timeframe 4 months to deep cold season, something that was jaw dropping. I get scheduling issues but to find out the two offered dates amount to an unspoken ultimatum did not sit well here. TOB called it unfortunate. My thoughts were more inline with "disrespect" and "disregard" for my desires and needs. All this transpired in emails. Note for the inexperienced; sometimes its best to abandon ambiguity and invest in a phone call! I finally received a firm date with the gas company and was ready to commit to the new time frame. TOB responded and unilaterally broke our contract for services. Finally, they put customer service forefront and did me the favor of not having to deal with a sour relationship.
      At first they were very responsive and I did appreciate that. But it became apparent TOB abandoned their commitment and patients. I'm certain it happened well before the final email, just not sure how far back. In business nearly everything can be described as an asset or liability. It's too bad but I'm now the latter. This young business still has much to learn. Best of luck!
