I paid $175 to ship two packages to my daughter in Boulder, Colorado. Because one contained an antique ski rack and the other 2 oil paintings, UPS would not insure them. Not knowing what else to do, I continued with the transaction. 1 package arrived. The other was reported being found in Commerce City, Colorado empty of its contents. I have been trying to resolve this issue since July of 2022. I found all the receipts except for the ski rack which had been in the family for quite a while and gave them to the manager of the UPS in North Hampton, NH. I have visited the UPS location every few weeks to check as well as calling the corporate number. I went in yesterday when I was told a check was waiting for me. The check was for 116.00 where the contents of the package which I believe to be stolen, was over $1100. I refused to take the check as I believe I am due back significantly more money. I had to replace all the sweaters that were my daughters as well as a ski pillow and the rack.

    To Whom it May Concern,
I have been working with ****** ******** for almost a year now. In that time I have disputed this claim with UPS multiple times. Unfortunately UPS Stores are independently owned franchises, and have nothing to do with the claims process from UPS. I have been in contact with UPS on multiple occasions trying to move this process along for Vivian. She shipped an item without putting insurance on it, making the value in the eyes of the insurance company $100. I attached the signed PSO where Vivian signed understanding the claims process among other things. I have Please let me know if you have any additional questions. When UPS Capital finally paid the check for Vivian the total they paid was $116. I wrote Vivian a check immediately and she refused it. Despite all of this I am still disputing the claim for her to try and get her $100 plus her original shipping charges. Please let me know if you have any additional guidance dealing with UPS Capital, as it is unfortunately out of my control.

    Best,
    Olivia
