    603 Storage acquired an existing business previously know as Pittsfield Self Storage. I had already been a long time customer of the facility with a price agreement in place and paid a security deposit in the event I was unable to clear the unit of its contents. When 603 took over ownership they immediately increased rates at a ridiculous rate until their services became double what I had agreed to. Notification of these increases was not provided with sufficient notice to allow customers to vacate the unit if they did not agree. I called to abandon my unit as I do not have the ability or resources readily available to remove the remaining items. I was told I would be charged a “disposal fee” which was never clearly communicated as a part of the agreement. I explained that I had already paid a deposit in the event I did not pay my bill and the unit was not vacated. They proceeded to tell me that they refunded the deposit when they acquired the business and their new policies took effect and I would receive a bill for disposal. I had never received a refund of the deposit or any clear communication on the changes in policy regarding disposal and associated fees. Not to mention the absolutely ATROCIOUS increases they continued to add to my monthly bill that had doubled in a 1 year period. I would like for 603 storage to waive any and all additional charges or fees associated with the forfeiture of my rental unit.
